Indians always had the throttle on the left, so that policemen who were riding could draw their guns and shoot if necessary (so the legend goes). it made it hard to convert to riding any other bike, though - which was perhaps what Indian wanted....
I'm a 21 year old, but I _love_ these old indians ever since i seen them on the wall of death when I was young. Good to see people keeping these bikes alive.
What an interesting story, maybe we can speak to each other some day. I sold my second scout to my friend. All he had was a few H-Ds. I felt sorry for him and gave him a good deal on the 26'! Thanks, Don.
That was a noble thing to do - but then the HD riders need to be introduced to left hand throttles and such like. It's good for them! And the hobby keeps us all feeling young!
Yes, It's the 37 cubic inch motor. It's a 1925 motor and frame sold by Indian with the 1926 fenders as a 1926 'export' model - with twin brakes on the rear wheel and a few other things. So a transitional model. It went to Peru and stayed there until I found it in a sand dune.... Great to hear from you!

Hello, is that a 45 or 37 inch motor? I have a 1925 also but has different fenders and the 37 inch motor. Thanks.
