For trainers, I'd want Jillian. She's "mean" but it's never personal. She deals with the whole person equally (physical, emotional and mental) but she doesn't mollycoddle or enable them. Next I'd choose Bob. I'm not fond of him but he gets results. Next would be Michelle. She mollycoddles a little but she's tough. I like Shannan but his results are mixed and he trains generically. Not everything works for everyone. I like the Commando but he gets less results w/o a gym to use.

I guess we should have known they picked 15 contestants. You can't divide 15 by 2 and the teams have to be equal at the first weigh-in. I just thought they would say whoever lost the least weight would go home and then they'd pick teams.

That's an excellent deduction. I couldn't figure out why they had 15 instead of 14 and why they hadn't picked teams yet. I didn't put any thought into it but you are exactly right. They needed an extra person for this (cruel) twist.  And it IS cruel because they shattered a person for the sake of ratings.
