For this review I just have to share some of my knowledge out of this game, cause oddly enough I know all about the history of it. This game was actually produced by the same company who produced a pirate version of Street Fighter II for Nes. Back then people were so crazy to be able to play anything that would resemble a 2on2 fighting game on Nes they would buy anything, even if its a poorly made pirate version of the so popular capcom SF2.(continue..)

This SF3 was WAY better (and you can actually find videos related to this game on youtube). It had a fantastic fighting engine that was almost unbelievable at the time considering the poor 8bits Nes. This game made so much effort in quality that Capcom actually decided to put their "Street Fighter 3" title on hold, which caused the several "Street Fighter XXXXX". This also caused this other pirate company with a poorly made engine to release their "SF4", which just like their SF2, was just crap.

When the so called "Street Fighter 2" for Nes came out, it was a huge "pirate hit" and many people (me included) actually thought for a long time that game was actually made by Capcom. SF2, just like SF4 for Nes, was horribly made, only had 4 characters (no clones like SF4) and they all played even worst then SF4, but yet with the same engine root, graphics and sounds. Soon after the release of SF2 for Nes, another company released a new pirate version of SF, called SF3. (continue...)

Funny review. Personally, I consider the roster to be just 5 characters (including the boss). The only reason why there's clone characters (Tracy/Bunny) is because you can't have mirror matches in this game. Other then a different name & palette, the clone character are exactly the same so I consider them the same person. I had plans to remake this game way before the official SFIV was announced. I will once my other game is finished.
