Islam is not a cult. Wahhabism is a cult and there are perversions including the old form of Islam as it is practiced today in the context and interpretation of people like Wahhabists that is also a cult. But modern liberal-Islam that my wife practices is not a cult.
I am an atheist, my wife is a muslim-born Bosnian. You cannot argue she is in a cult if she was born in it and she is allowed to marry people not belonging to her religion and she is the head of the local Mosque in our town.

The koran can be interpreted, as she does, or as we see all the terrorists, the palis, and millions of others do. How can your wife justify Mohamed's actions at Kaybar or Banu Qurayza? How does she justify Mohamed marrying Aisha when she was only 6? So many things that are wrong!

What my wife generally says is that Arabic is a very weird language and its translation can be choppy so you don't what you are actually reading. The way it is read in Bosnia is entirely different from how it is read in Arabic.
You have the fact that the Quran has been altered on various occasions and there was once over a dozen different versions. How you know what you are reading is the original, therefore how do you know Muhammad did anything at all?
She even has to accept this.

Actually it depends on how you read it. Arabic is a funny language, because each word has over ten different meaning. The word sword for instance can also mean fist, protection, guardian, or a well spoken word. It is funny that it is only interpreted one way, force.

My wife has also argued against wearing Hijabs or Burqas to stop men from rape. She says a good practice of martial artists does the job quite well. She was able to break of a Somali man's arm right off and threw it several feet away from him with his face just fully displayed in horror that a woman could be stronger than man (way stronger) using Brazilian Ju-jitsu. By the way, her uncle is the greatest muslim martial-artist in the world.

In the end, the truth is simple, always. Israel was always just a pawn of the US elites in their big game against the USSR. They payed with Israeli Sinai to Egypt to pull it from Soviet camp. Without the USSR, the only use they have for Israel is to pay with more of its land to their Arab allies.
