hey guys please help! I want to do something different, I want two PC's on one CPU, so that the two different users can use the one CPU and work independently HELP!
In your video you have 2 monitors that are different. Are you able to put two monitors that show the same thing? I want 2 screens that show exactly what i do on my computer not two screens, is there a way to do that? plz reply as soon as possible.
@akwlb2 yes it is. You right click at your desktop and then a option will come up. Then press screen reseloution and then there will be a menu where you have diffirent options you can choose of. :D hope it helped, and sry for my bad english is from DK. :D
@Flommemanden Thanks, it doesn't works when I try to do it in personalize window but when I use my Nvidia control panel I can set them up just the way I wanted lol thanks though!
I got an HDMI-cable today to watch on streams and movies in VLC at my tv. The only problem is that when i am trying to match the monitors (this on the video happens instead). I can drag one item to the other monitor but i just want the monitors to match, is there anyone who knows what the problem is?
k i got my screens connected, all done setup, it worked to connect on my laptop i had 2 screens, but now... on my OTHER COMPUTER, it doesn't work o.O help?? (it doesn't find the other screen even its on the computer. i'm SURE that the wire is holding good and thats not the problem. helpz?
Hey man, IF I do this with my laptop, do you think maybe I can get some overheating issues with my laptop? I mean, I work all the day and I want to use a second monitor of 19 inches and use the laptop monitor too. best regards
@BBLLAAGGHH Go to properties then screen settings then you press on the number 2, the two numbers you see and press on "Expand desktop to this screen" then if your number 2 monitor is on your right then you just press apply/use BUT if you number 2 monitor is on you left side you drag the number two to the left and then press apply/use. Or just search two screens one computer and its the number 3 called how to have 2 screens one computer!!!!!! :D hop this work for you good luck ! :D
Scientists need to stop inventing new monitors and phones and all other shit and work hard on making battery life longer and build a wire-free world...
@GreedyBeast you could use a splitter, but you will be seeing the same images/programs on both monitors..I would use a graphic card like PCI-Express to run separate programs on each monitors in my studio..
I want to use my CRT monitor as my main monitor and I want to have a DVI monitor but set it up on my comp so I can watch a movie on winamp with the DVI monitor and work on homework with my CRT monitor. I'm using a ATI HD HIS 5850 video card on my comp. Is this possible?
@hammer3456 Why? I have like 3 others I use to watch TV. And on these I can multi task without having to switch pages. Quite frankely I think it works out very well. I'm *5* days ahead in work because of it,
@BrisbaneNerf Well it's called a graphics box. It's made for games and junk so like it doesn't glich at all, plus all of those aren't even 8000 gigs let alone 3000. All 4 hooked up (they're not hooked up anymore I put them back in there spots in the house) is about 1,367 gigs. Haha not as much as your think.. Yea the total space my card has is about 6000 gigs.
I found some "Cpn mouse" thing, but I read that the clicking isn't individual for each cursor. I'm not sure what this would do to the performance of any games run (shooters, etc)
I really need some help, I've been trying to figure this out for a long time now.
I have my television and monitor both hooked up, and it works fine, but what I would like to do is set up my computer controller (logitech) to control a seperate mouse pointer, that way, I can have a friend come over, and he could be surfing youtube going through songs, while I play a game.
@warlockmasta people usually start out with one monitor , and by the rate models are changing it's not obvious to find the same model . And i don't see the point why u should throw away a good monitor to buy two of the same model just because it looks better . or do you mostly look at how beautiful your monitor is when ur working on a computer ?
@arsy123 just for the fun basically.. but for music producers and visual designers its more of a tool than the fun itself thus in order to run 2 or more softwares at the same time without the need of resizing the windows all the time. Its just easier to work.
@redghost105 That depends on the performance you're willing to spend on. ATI has a budget lineup from under $100 with Eyefinity (allows multiple monitors) all the way up to the monster 5970 (which is easily $500 - $700). It all depends on what series the card is from and the power that comes with it. You can get a cheap card with support for multiple monitors, it just won't run games well with all the eye candy attached.
@mijntube12 Yes, why else would they put it there? Well are the two connections the same like are they both dvi or vga or hdmi or or they two different ones like one is dvi and the other is vga and so on? they would have to be the same i think.
Wanna make two slices of toast, instead of one? I'm gonna tell you how you can have both slices of toast without breaking the bank and buying a second toaster. What you'll need is some bread and a dual-slice toaster. I cannot stress this enough - you'll want to ask the sales clerk for a DUAL-SLICE toaster. It's also vitally important that the toaster has a 2 pin power plug (if you're in the US) and is designed to run on electricity.
HELP , i have 2 monitors everything is hooke dup etc but my second monitor says no signal and is just black , it wont respond or anything :( please its annoying me =/
it depends on your Operating System ( XP, Vista, Windows 7) but generally speaking you will need to adjust the settings to make them extend to each other OR to duplicate or clone each other and that's how you do it
@bygmikeee Its only fullscreen on one. When I do anything fullscreen, its only fullscreen on the monitor it was placed in. The other remains the same.
If I get this graphics card can i have my documents or an internet browser open aswell as a video editing program open or something like that? One on each screen.
@guns511 yes you can. you can hook up 2 DVI monitors or if you have two VGA monitors you can get 2 DVI-VGA adapters. i'm sure you get one in the box.
and yes you can browse files on one monitor and drag them in your video editing software :) or you can have your music player on one monitor and browse the web on the other etc...
i recommend getting 2 same monitors tho. just makes things even easier.
well i got it to duplicate the same screen but what i want is that when i play games it is on both screens, not the same image on both screens! i want dual screens!

ok i need help ok my motherboard has a a plug for the monitor bilud in to the mother board and i donot have any video cards on my motherboard do i need a video card wit two ports or one cuz on the vid his has two help me
my computer has 2 analog outputs, but when i put in 2 monitors, the second one says "no video input", and if i restart my computer it says i need some kind of video card :S do i have to buy a video card or what?
My cheapo computer that I purchased in the Black Friday sale has two video ports. Used the DVI to run the monitor that I got in the box. Used the 15 pin port to run my old monitor, cool.
I dont see why not, but I wouldn't recommend running two monitors off of one graphics port. It wasnt built to put that much stress on it. Most graphics cards support dual monitors even the cheap ones because theyre built to do that. Id go and buy a new card if yours doesnt support dual monitors. But you could give it a try, just dont do too many high demanding graphic things on both monitors.
hello, i need some help. have 2 video cards and i attatched both monitor cables to each one, but i do not know wht to do or how to make the orter screen work. help me please.
If youre using xp you need to left click on the desktop and selected proporties, from that window go to the settings tab and you should see two monitor options, with 1 and 2 on them. Select the 2nd and there should be a drop down menu right below it. Select the second graphic card for the second monitor. After that restart your computer with everything plugged in. That should work, if it doesn't let me know and ill help you out further.
@BlinBlinEnt It was actually quite simple. I connected them using a VGA cable (My tv doesn't support HDMI), then I restarted my computer (acer) and then I just went to the screen options and tried some different options. ;)
it does...im doing it right now actually, I kno this is a month late but if you're still wanting an answer buy a mini-dvi to vga adapter or whatever other mini-dvi adapter you need.. at best buy for about 9 dollars than a vga cable or whatever cable you need than go too displays in your preferences and wait for your mac too detect it
if it has two ports that you plug a monitor into, it supports two monitors. its really the same principal with any operating system, although the way you do things might be different, you usually tell the operating system the same stuff.
I hope you dont work on computers because i hook my computer up on my second computer almost everyday without a video card... just take the monitor security cord and hook it up to the second monitor and take a backup cord and plug it to both monitors and you can use both monitors switching through programs.
your vga card say to you help me you ar v crazy !!!!

Hey what if my videocard has one DVI and one VGA slot is it ok to use both?
Shadinjo 2 years ago
My cheapo computer that I purchased in the Black Friday sale has two video ports. Used the DVI to run the monitor that I got in the box. Used the 15 pin port to run my old monitor, cool.

Can you do this with a VGA splitter?
joey19982 2 years ago
I dont see why not, but I wouldn't recommend running two monitors off of one graphics port. It wasnt built to put that much stress on it. Most graphics cards support dual monitors even the cheap ones because theyre built to do that. Id go and buy a new card if yours doesnt support dual monitors. But you could give it a try, just dont do too many high demanding graphic things on both monitors.

@joey19982 That would duplicate the image on the second monitor. You would need something like a VGA Switch Box.

If your video card doesnt support 2 monitors you can use 2 graphics cards. Good video though

hello, i need some help. have 2 video cards and i attatched both monitor cables to each one, but i do not know wht to do or how to make the orter screen work. help me please.

@Argo413 how did you do it i need to do the same!
BlinBlinEnt 1 year ago
@BlinBlinEnt It was actually quite simple. I connected them using a VGA cable (My tv doesn't support HDMI), then I restarted my computer (acer) and then I just went to the screen options and tried some different options. ;)

mrleo12 2 years ago
your imac can support 2 monitors just not the 30" cinema display
mypassmark1 2 years ago
I actually think it is possible through USB, I am not entirely sure though, so don't quote me on that.
Anoxia425 2 years ago
it does...im doing it right now actually, I kno this is a month late but if you're still wanting an answer buy a mini-dvi to vga adapter or whatever other mini-dvi adapter you need.. at best buy for about 9 dollars than a vga cable or whatever cable you need than go too displays in your preferences and wait for your mac too detect it

if it has two ports that you plug a monitor into, it supports two monitors. its really the same principal with any operating system, although the way you do things might be different, you usually tell the operating system the same stuff.

Yes
VietMicro 2 years ago
I hope you dont work on computers because i hook my computer up on my second computer almost everyday without a video card... just take the monitor security cord and hook it up to the second monitor and take a backup cord and plug it to both monitors and you can use both monitors switching through programs.
