This band panders to the brain-dead, guinness-quaffing, mother-mo-chroi, poor oul Ireland barstool republicans. Here in Ireland the band is a standing joke - producing a brand of leprachaun folk for US consumption . If you're American and come to visit us - and please do - don't be conned. This stuff isn't proper Irish traditional music - not reaching back much further than the 60s when the Clancys devised it to fleece Americans. Irish folk is brilliant - try Altan or Clannad - not this crap.

Go mile raibh maith agat. (I hope that's right, I don't speak Gaelic.) This is a great song that is really underplayed.
