What most humans fail to understand is that animals have been moving freely across the surface of earth for millions of years, adapting to new environments and subsequently becoming new species, genuses, familys ect.Infact most of the animals of today that we identify with certain places are actually descended from ancient migrants that were initially "exotic" but adapted to and became part of the new ecosystem.
I live in that area and these horses are not wild. They have no more grass left around there because they have to many horses, that they dont take care of. The humane society should come look at the place so it could be shut down. If everyone would just look at this place you would see what kind of place that it is.
I always thought bison were more symbolic of American wildlife because they're native to North America and because of their significance in many Native American cultures. Mustangs were not in America until the Europeans brought them over here, so they don't count as native wildlife.
@F14ace Ha its ironic that you say that because Equus is actually more native to this continent then Bison. Bison migrated here from asia during the late pleistocene wile Equus along with camelus went the opposite way after a 50 million year evolution here in america. They where hunted to extinction by migrating primates from siberia about 100 centuries.
My heart I been tryin to raise money for some herds and stuff and I will try to adopt one because I love wild horses and regular horses plus they r the only proof we have for the old days plus they r VERRY special to be alive today:)
hi there i wanna know where to find the wild mustangs i hear they run threw the mountains in alberta at certain times off the year can someone help me and i heard i may find someone who does tours at times when they are running there would love to see them and appreciate that people care for them and are helping them .
Thank you for your support. Our animal friends do indeed need our care. I also produced a pro bono video for the Lost Our Home Pet Foundation here in Maricopa County Arizona as well as for the Phoenix Herpteological Society. The furry ones as well as the reptiles all need our support and care.
The American dream should include the protection of their wild horses, without help from such magnificent animals it could not have become a great nation.
Besides your horses and burrows, dont forget that it was the Oxen which the Pilgrim fathers brought over that were initially used to plough your fields and bare your burdens, not horses, America owes these creatures a debt too.
We should all celebrate the history of such animals, and respect them!
I Have A 7 Year Old Mustang. She Is Wonderfull But Deffinetly Still Has A Wild Side. She Was Caught In Arizona. She Has Symbols On Her Neck That You Can Track Down Info About Her Heard.
Thank you for checking with me RE: the use of my Wild Mustang footage. As long as it will not be used in a video for profit you have my permission to use the footage. Please give credit to Four Points Video, Scottsdale, Arizona. Thank you.
It is a shame the the BLM is not doing what they are supposed to do in regards to these mustangs and burros. You may have given them the ideas, however they are finding all the loopholes that they can to destroy them and damn the people's opinion.
True mustangs descended from the original Iberian stock, how precious! It's awesome that your organization managed to saved them!!

Horses are not originally from America (continent). So what heritage are you trying to protect?
