It's not that the stars of today turned into pussies, it's that the officiating has changed a lot. Watch footage of an 80s or 90s game and people are tripping and holding and hooking every chance they got. Don't blame the players, blame Bettman for trying to make hockey more exciting offensively. great fight. would've been a tie, but edge to godard w/ the haymaker that ended it. it looked to me like that last punch turned out the lights on cote for a split second. that's why the linemen broke it up at that point.
