your interpretation is curiously slower than i ever heard. since you're singing it out of the opera, maybe the liberties with the tempi. nonetheless, i love your approach to the aria. its refreshingly new and intriguing. the piano is so out of tune and sounds like a honky-tonk juke joint accompanist. in my opinion, the piano is the only performances distraction.

Thank you musiccoloratura.  This interpretation is just an adaption that I did, a chance to extract the aria from the opera entirely and see it in a different way, a kind of "what if" scenario. I hope you had fun doing it for your class recital. I know that we coloraturas do these things becaause we can't resist the urge to "let 'er rip!" That's my Harley. -A good coloratura aria. Be careful singing sick. One of my past teachers put it most simply when she said "Protect your neck." Be well.

However, on this particular occassion that I performed the aria, I took it out of context. I was not trying to make any particular statement except to explore the vitality of the piece and the adaptability of its message.- Just having a good time! No harm done.

I thought of you today, my darling Titoo! I gave a concert for some little ones at an NYC public school, and when we moved the piano out to the center of the floor, the entire pedal system fell off! The bell song is a very complicated mix of coloratura demands and a taxing use of the upper register. I give you much credit for experimenting with this difficult music.
