  • Very cool video, great concept and beautifully filmed & edited. I enjoyed it a lot.

  • Didnt realise how interesting austrailian locomotives were! sorry i am a pom!

  • @NOMAD8459

Basically we try to take American designs of big locomotives and then fit them into a loading gauge similar to that found in the UK. Not easy.... We have stolen a few British designs, the XPT in particular should look quite familiar to you.

  • A little Doppler and some speed and those pie carts are almost impressive. I noticed the effect of the ditch lights on the 80. Some of the stills boys have been moaning about them affecting their shots.

  • Great video! What horn is on the N Class locomotives? Sounds very similar to the Leslie RS3-L's that Conrail units wore over here.

  • @wrailfan

The N class have roof mounted Leslie S-5T horns which you'll hear in these clips. They also have a low note underfloor horn that is much quieter.

  • Great compilation, well done

  • Very nice Doppler effect on the V/locity horn!

  • @cmcook34

The camera location was right near the "sound horn for level crossing" sign so there's plenty of doppler effects thoughout the movie.
