Cacao refers to the tree which Cocoa comes from, but Cocoa it's the name for the actual seeds/beans. Unless, of course, you intend of cooking this with wood.
Cacao is the right word. Its the native way of saying it ALL over latin america. The fruit itself, is called Cacao, and so is the seed. The american translation, cuz even in France its Cacao, is Cocoa. But they use the right word.
Portuguese, Spanish, and French are primarily used in South America and France. It's not the "American" translation, it's the English translation - and it's not dialectal, I'm not American. In English, there's a defined difference between the Plant and the Seed; and in the case of the cocoa bean/cacao tree, it's represented by different names.
this is cacao. it is healthy for you. Chocolate you buy from the corner store is horrible for you. but this is ground cacao beans without all the added crap that goes into chocolate bars
It's --COCOA--, pronounced "Co-co", not "Cacao".

It's a natural sweetener syrup. I can get it in the supermarket now, but also in health food stores. Better for diabetics too.
