It's also very common to rush the space between the first t and k syllables. If you practice relaxing to control that space then the rest of the notes should feel a lot less frantic. Also practice playing random things using only the k syllable. If you can make it match the sound of the t syllable then that will also be a big help. =)

Start off slow, then increase tempo gradually.

Also, you should not stop your breath before every note. Your breath and air flow should be continuous, only allowing your tongue to stop the air flow before every note to build up air pressure behind ur tongue before releasing it to play a note.
