you just in it to make money, the way you handle the toys, sacrilege, sacrilege. doesn't look like your rich, though driving that nissan. what, ahahaaa, enjoy
I collect these artifacts to write books in order to enlighten other people; any money I make on these books goes back into my collection. How am I "in it for the money?"
Since I also run a department at a university and write 1 book per year, I don't have time to organize everything (30,000+ figures; 120,000+ comics), but will make time in the next six months at MY leisure.
The Nissan Sentra is my beater JUST for transporting toys; I drive a Murano and an Avalon.
@markbellomo oh ok then :D i was just getting a bit depressed you know :P about the gian amounts of lost money :p but now its cool :D hahah really xD well thats smart :D
but still you never get the fever to go out and buy like hot toys or sideshow or neca and stuff like that?
@markbellomo Fantastic collection. You said that the storage space holds approximately %40 of your collection. Where is the remaining %60? How much do you keep in your house?
Hello, I am the only one in the world that sells a u. v. acrylic case for your fortress maximus mib on ebay user i.d. leia072306 thanks and hope to fit all your collector needs A&A acrylic's!
Hey, Mark, Fabulous collection. I am a Joe collector myself, and am working on completing the 82-87 series, but watching this documentary, which I absolutely loved - I feel like I know you - has actually inspired me to complete other collections, like Super Powers and He-Man, that I have a lot of from when I was a kid. As for harveydents's comments, I absolutely LOVE the passion you have for this; it'd only become worrisome if you'd have to sell blood to buy more stuff.
Thank you, but it's NOT my collection everyone. Please read all the info provided above. Everything in these videos belongs to Mark Bellomo, the guy in the video. I simply filmed him as he went through his collection, Flophouse Films has no connection to Mark Bellomo other than I filmed him and his collection.
I just wanted to clarify that as many people seem to think Mark Bellomo and Flophouse Films are the same person, they are not. Thank you, enjoy.
Hey Mark! I HATE YOU! - not. Great sets, great work, impressive attitude in the field. Thanks for your help in our own project for your books are some of the best references ever.
This storage space was such as mess because I was in the middle of scouring it for items needed for the two books I was in the process of writing. NONE of my most prized collectibles are contained within this particular storage space... which now holds approx. 30% of my overall collection.
As for Harveydents' sweet comments: it's SAD when people have so much free time that they have to take offense with a documentary about... well... me showing people my love of TOYS.
I am amassing this huge collection in order to write books (currently six are in print) about the action figures I love and am VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT. I'm not rich, and don't have space in my house, and need to put the overflow somewhere.
If you can't see the passion in my face when I'm taking about my toys, then I'm not doing my job as an actor.
This man seems to be into collecting for all the wrong reasons. Its one thing to leave your collections in the boxes...but jamming them all into a storage space just seems a little odd. He seems to just be in it for the bragging factor. I dont agree with it, but just my opinion.
It's yours to do with what you please but I feel there's little good in a collection that spends most of its time in a box. You should start a museum.
wow what do u do for a living damn u have a fort max i just have the body looking for the head great job any comic stores that sell toys that u can give me there number
I own 120,000+ comics that I have been collecting since 1982. I own STRAIGHT RUNS of every major super-hero comic from 2009 back to AT LEAST 1968, and I have read each and every one of them, and continue to read them every day before bed...
As for knowing what they're worth? Uhm... I financed my comic book (120,000+) and action figure (30,000+) collection with investments in COMIC BOOKS. For instance, I brought doubles and triples of low-grade comics to this store, and they BOUGHT them.
Just a run of Detective Comics 27-present? Really? My comic book collection is insured for FAR, FAR more than that entire run--even yours were in NM/NM+ condition.
Yeeeg.
Your crass language and crudity just shows the depths of your jealous, brutish nature, while your willingness to hide behind the safety of your keyboard in order to sully the reputation of a good-hearted author and collector further compounds your folly.
People LIKE YOU are the reason why authors and writers--and many young kids--don't want to attend collector events; way to ruin the hobby for generations to come with your bile.
And if you'd like to speak about this further, I'll be doing a signing at San Diego next year for my new book. PLEASE stop by Krause Publications' booth in person, simply state your YouTube name, and we'll discuss this like adults.
Im a collector of comics have about 20,000 but more importantly IM A READER and what this guy does nto get is that it is onnly worth somethign if someone is willing ot buy it!
