I am fifteen now and my dad showed me this today for a project. This bring's tears to my eyes. He was only nineteen and he must have seen such horrors before he died. I am proud to be Irish and now more then ever I am proud to be a McBride.
Hey Ron I haven't heard this since I was in primary school in 1987 and it reminded me of my older brother who joined the forces when I was very young and it made me sad each time he went back to camp after leave. Now hearing it again some 24 years later brings all the memories back of missing my big bro. Great rendition :-)
My friend Holly and I listened to this while sitting in front of the fire one night. The two of us said nothing and had tears streaming down our faces by the end of the song. Ever since I think of this song when I see war photographs of young soldiers. "forever 19..."
Glad this got through to you and Holly. Yes, young soldiers dying is sad, and it's that time of year again which makes it more poignant. Thanks for commenting.
A great song and I have heard some awful renditions - this is not one of them...in fact this is one of the best i have found. Thank you for posting it.
Derek, learn some manners Dude. Didn't your mother ever teach you to say nothing if you can't say something nice? This isn't the kind of song you take shots at when a guy is paying tribute.
lol i watched this and then got bored so i went and watched cod mw3

Aawh, thank you so much for saying that.
We, too, were very pleased with it and were lucky enough to get it all together in time to post it for Remembrance Day.
Thanks again and all the best,
Ron.
