The last time I got tested was 12 years ago. Since then I have had sex with prostitutes, drug addicts, sluts, young and old women. The last time I got tested was 12 years ago. Since then I have had sex with prostitutes, drug addicts, sluts, young and old women. I've always thought that I had HIV because of my risky sex life, and I was afraid to be tested. Not knowing my status, I've further made bad decisions of the type of women I was with. Not knowing has made my life dark and depressing. Through the grace and strength of God, a few days ago i was tested and it came back negative. I will never put my life at risk again.

I'm sorry, but hurt feelings can't possibly the most painful symptoms of HIV. More emphasis should be put on prevention, and less on protecting HIV positive people's feelings. People aren't scared enough. If it means a few hurt feelings to stop the spread, then so be it.

I once worked with children who had Aids. They were some of the sweetest kids that I've ever met, and it's heartbreaking to think that if I ever go back to the place where I worked with them, I may never see those same kids again. I pray to God that while they're still alive, they don't have to face so much stigma against them and they have joy everyday. Aside from the Aids, they were just normal kids, normal people, just like me, just like you, just in a different situation...

@Ryan1111111able not true. it can help prevent it and reduce the risk of infection. saying you won't get HIV by wearing a condom is some pretty bad advice to give, the virus itself is smaller than sperm therefore can pass through the lining of the condom. it'd be better to say "condoms can help reduce the risk or contracting HIV".

I am not suprised why people avoid HIV positive ones-they are just scared HIV is death sentence!! It's the end of any hopes to have family ( you cant have sex with others even they are positive as well..) . i have to say I am very close to people who have contracted the virus, and I'm very pleased to know that they can live a healthy and long life due to the medication they receive, but it makes me sad to also know that there are people in some parts of the world that can NEVER receive this help. I think that a lot of people tend to forget that HIV/AIDS is also contracted through drug usage which is high as well, blood transfusions, even nowadays mosquitos who can now pass it off to humans. Mosquitos dont transmit HIV. When a mosquito bites a person, it does not inject its own or a previously bitten person's blood into the next person bitten. It injects saliva. Yellow fever and malaria are transmitted through the saliva of specific species of mosquitoes. HIV lives for only a short time inside an insect and, does not reproduce nor survive in insects. So even if HIV enters a mosquito the mosquito does not become infected and cannot transmit HIV to the next human it bites.

Mosquito's don't transmit HIV. You see, that's how uneducated people are these days...
I think the opposite, everyone has sex (well almost everyone), the only you can do is use a condom but in some instances (like trying to get children) you skip the condom part. You don't bring that onto yourself.

the hiv test only identifies the presence of 2, 3 or 4 proteins for a positive result depending on which country one is testing in and many conditions have been found to cause the body to produce those proteins including drug use, flu shots, tuberculosis and pregnancy among others. please pray for all those who have been misdiagnosed with hiv and AIDS.

aids sucks but you can survive your whole life with proper treatment but you have to be very carful wit sickness cuz if you get even a common cold you have no immune system to stop it and it just turns to ammonia and death basically so yea...god give strength to the ppl who have aids and give strength to those who dont to ave a healthy clean life....amen =]

Then, you never had sex in your life? That would be sad. But if you've ever had sex, even if it's with someone you trust, you always have the risk of contracting AIDS. Nobody is free from it. You don't have to be irresponsible or whatever. The risk is higher that way, but still YOU or ME can contract AIDS ANYTIME.

I am fully aware that you cannot determine ones sexual health just by looking at them , thats all the more reason for you to protect yourself in the first place. ....It also makes me wonder why you speak so selfishly, could you have contracted the virus by being careless, and is knowingly spreading the disease, its not like you would have anything to lose if you were infected? i dont know...but according to your channel (you are in your late thirties), and you don't seem to care much for humanity or putting a stop to this dreadful disease, yet i, someone in my early 20's, always makes an effort to ensure that i am protected...its absurd!!

Not everyone choose to take the risk to contract HIV, and sometimes that's really a matter of luck. I think about women forced into prostitution, blood transfusion, or else.
But when you contract it by having unprotected sex with someone, you can't say it can happen to everyone.
It doesn't mean they deserve it ! But you can't say they couldn't know the risk they were taking.

i know, but the sad thing is, there are alot that do know, but still spread it anyways. AIDS has been a recognized illness for over 2 decades but there are ppl out there that still maintain this ''it wont happen to me'' attitude, sad but true.
