  • Best wrestler ever.

  • Wooo to the man who posted this woooooooo

  • "i dont care if its tokyo, greensboro"....very few times in hostory have the citys of tokyo & greensboro been said back to back as if they are vastly similar.

  • Slick Ric was the greatest of all time, the complete wrestler. It will be a sad, sad day when this man dies and it will be the end of me and pro wrestlling when he does. What makes him the greatest is that this aint no act baby, he really truly believes he is the Nature Booooy, on screen, off screen , 24/7 . Diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • @SlickRoode When Ric Flair passes away, I don't think their should be a eulogy at his funeral... Just a very long "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!" done by everyone there ( and that will be ALOT of people ) ! WOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

  • @ThaOneChrisJONES

    Amen brother.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOH

  • hulk hogan wears pink panties

  • They should have let him dress like this when he showed up in the WWF...they had him doing all his interviews in his wrestling robes.

    WWF/E ruins everybody in wrestling.

  • Custommade Brother I mean Custom Made Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Killer Mike sampled this for his track Ric Flair.

    It's DOPE!!!

  • It would have made no sense to have Hogan wear suits and pretend to be Flair just as the opposite would have been absurd. The two wrestling promotions were based on totally opposing styles that were as different as their owners. Both headliners did a phenomenal job of putting asses in the seats and entertaining the audiences who tuned in and attended live matches. I was lucky because Baltimore was a town that both the N.W.A./WCW and WWF did business in monthly.

  • Flair was the Hulk Hogan of the N.W.A. at that time, meaning the top dog and the big-money draw. The Horsemen were formed primarily to give Tully and Arn the huge rub being closely associated with Flair would bring them on the road. That way you could main event a card with "The Horsemen" without Flair actually having to be present because of World Champion commitments elsewhere. Bottom line is, Flair respected Hogan and vice-versa. Both carried their respective companies from 84' forward.

  • "don't stick that lower lip out at me brother" ROFLOLOLOL

  • Screw you guys, hogan was awesome too, they're completely different styles though, you can't compare hogan to flair.

  • The bottom line in this sport is... you walk down that isle, you get in that ring and you win!!! Whoo!!!!

  • Ive got the most Positive attitude, ive got the most ability, ive got the greatest physical attributes And i just happen to be the best athlete alive today. YOUR world heavy weight champion!!! Tell 'em champ!!!

  • The beginning of the horsemen....woooooo. Tokyo to Richmond to L.A....what a trip!

  • winning and winning and winning, day in and day out!

  • Ric was already starting to lay the ground for the 4 Horsemen with this promo. Man, I miss these days of wrestling when they really told stories and developed characters you either loved or hated. Sometimes both at the same time. Glad to have grown up in the 70s and 80s when this was going on. Kids today have no idea what real entertainment is.

  • thats were charlie sheen got winning

  • "...and I just happen to be!..... the best athlete alive today - YOU'RE World Heavyweight Champion!" Just great.

  • Charlie Sheen, here is YOUR idol! Whoooo!

  • Flair talks about how he likes Tully and the Andersons back in the day before the Horsemen were formed. A sign of things to come for sure.

  • MidAtlantic NWA wresting, NOTHING LIKE IT!!!!!! Take notes McMahon

  • he was a mic genius

the backbone wrestler of the 80s

  • I didn't like this phase of Ric's career. I loved him as a flat out HEEL. None of this

    "tweener" crap!

  • @rosario508 Ric was too cool to be a popular straight heel for long. It worked for the NWA. Funny when I think about the NWA - they championed a lot of so called "tweener heels" Harley, Dory Jr, Terry Funk. Few if any killer "heels". Guess it gave them greater flexibility when hittin the other territories and Int'l runs.

  • Even by Flair's standards - THIS is a GREAT promo!

  • OH lord i just realised why i sport shades like that...LOL!!! every Saturday and Sunday at 6:05 i saw Flair wearing them...and it's 25 years later and i'm rocking them just as proud...LOL!!!

  • he can't help that he's custom made

  • Hogan was nothing but a Cali/Fla beach bum And Flair was the wrestling worlds Mans Man

  • @tubemig18 @tubemig18 Not sure why people rag on Hogan when watching great Flair promos ??? Hogan and Flair were BOTH legends. And yes - sorry, Equal legends. Money was the game. The greatest promo guys ever. Hogan as a heel was right there. Rag on losers like Lex Luger. Hulk and Flair have amazing respect for each other and do not compare themselves. They r the elite :)

  • @aitraining the reason we "rag" on Hogan is because Hogan spent most of the 90's trying to destroy Rics legacy out of jelousy..It wasn't enough for Hogan that he was the most reconized wrestler to casual fans, it pissed him off that die hard wrestling fans respected Flair more then him.

  • @Murphdogg4 I'm not sure how much of the blame I'd put on Hogan for Flair's lean years in WCW. I'm not saying he didn't have a part in Flair's struggles with that promotion in the late nineties but it was mainly Bischoff's choice. For whatever reason Bischoff didn't see Flair and most of the southern wrasslin' guys as being able to be his frontline guys in his war with WWE. So he brought in a lot of ex-WWE talent and pushed them instead.

  • Foreshadowing of the Four Horsemen. All of a sudden I'm starting to like Tully Blanchard. Classic.

  • I think I could even listen to Ric lecturing on Hegelian metaphysics. At length.

  • "Don't you stick that lower lip out at me brother and try to degrade anything that I'm doing"

    Well spoken.

  • The greatest to ever do it!!!!!!

  • He mentions only 1 city outside the US and the rest are in the US; Thinking he skipped his geography lessons as a kid.....but he's still hilarious. Thanxs for posting!

  • i made a beat out if this speech check out my winners video yall and enjoy

  • "World Heavyweight WRESTLING Champion" says it all! Nowadays its World Hvywt Entertainment Champ. WTF is an 'entertainment champion?' Screw TNA AND WWE!

    We'll never see wrestling again.

  • CUSTOM MADE Brother!!!! THERE'S only 1!!!

  • now that was a woo

  • dick crum and bill curry lol

  • From Tokyo, Japan to Asheville, NC. That will just about do it. 4 horsemen were born here. Great moment.

  • "Because I got the most positive atttude",,," " I got the most ability",, " I got the greatest physical atribute",,, " And don't forget I got about 4 kilos of the best cocaine money can buy",,,

  • "save the lower lip"!" biggest house on the big side of town...

  • @ miltrb....

it's true, it's all about your mic game as well as the canvas..... and Ric Flair knew how to work that mic!

  • "Custom made... and I mean custom made from the alligators to the Ollie Casini" like he said Ric Flair.. theres only one

  • The announcers came and went but Ric was there for ever. There was Bob Caudle, Tony Schiavon, Bobby the brain, jesse the body, Gorilla monsoon, and then there is ric, there forever...

  • "and the Wha Who'se"

  • slick ric is the truth, he and the rock are the best when it comes to getting it done on the mic!

  • It take talent to do this and he has it

  • On the 8th day GOD created the Professional Wrestler.

And his name was RICK FLAIR!!!!!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • Whether you like it or not, learn to love it cause Ric's the best thing goin today. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • What does tspetite! stand for??? Hmmm....me thinks it stands for transexual petite 1 little one eyed winkee. "The bottom line" is, you want Ric to be bi so you have a chance with him, tranny. LOLOLOL see 'ya sick and you want Ric.

  • Hogan was more of a cartoon character, Slick Ric was more authentic and most definitely THEEEE MAN!!

  • @cosmikslop Flair did act like Foghorn Leghorn at times in TNA! LOL

  • Hogan could never pull off a custom made suit. Flair looked like a World Champion. I agree, Hogan ain't shit!

  • @Jagersmom Hogan can't even pull off a pair of jeans--Figuratively or literally.

  • @Jagersmom i used to hate on hogan, but watch some of his early 80s japan stuff. and u see he was an athlete...now he wasnt as intellectual as flair, but he wasnt "shit" either..

  • @Jagersmom Hogan was 6'8, almost 300 lbs. Flair is 6'1, 240 lbs. Yeah, I think Flair can pull it off a whole lot easier. That's an unfair comparison.

  • Dick Crum

  • In case you don't remember, Dick Crum was the football coach at UNC during this time. Unfortunately, the Tar heels were not very good during this time. Thus Flair's comment...your faith should be shaken in anybody, it ought to be Dick Crum at NC. They ought to be hollering for Bill Curry.

  • The GREATEST wrestler in the world RIC FLAIR. Hulk who?

  • Ya don't lose faith in winners!!!!

  • All of a sudden I'm starting to like Tully Blanchard , cause he's a winner too !!!

  • Was THIS the unofficial debut of The Horsemen?

  • at the time some people didnt see the genius in flair talking about luxury stuff. rolex, suits, cars. after about 15 years or so everybody wanted to say that same shit and it was the new cool thing.

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Wonder what happened to Bob Coddel. I loved Bob Coddel, he was the best commentator. The hell with that Solie guy.

  • Flair's mic skills: Never equaled.

  • Stylin, profilin', jet flying, limousine riding, kiss stealing, wheelin dealin, son of a gun! Woooh!

  • "if ur faith should be shaken in anybody it oughta be dick crum up in north carolina, ya oughta be hollerin for bill curry."

yeah crum was a loser but it's a good thing they didn't get bill curry. he fuckin killed his career trying to rebuild kentucky.

  • i cut this promo into a rap called winners

starring shigg nasty feat.ric flair check out my page and spread the news

  • are these 2 wrestlers? cuz Dick Crum was also the head coach of UNC football in the early 80's and Bill Curry coached @ Georgia Tech.

  • I don't care if it's Tokyo Japan, Norfolk, Charlotte, Richmond, Charlotte, Greensburo, or Charlotte North Carolina! Jim Crockett is taking over the world, and I'm the man that's making it all possible.

  • The best mic skills ever.

  • Absolutely! Loved it when he started rattling of cities and old wrestlers!!!

  • I remember when Howard Dean started rattling off cities like Flair did. But, instead of ending with a Wooooooooooooo! He friggin shrieked and lost all credibility. Flair is the man! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

  • He already lost, so he should have just ran with it and fucking acted like he was cutting a promo.

  • No doubt! Wish I could talk as half as good as he could!

  • This is a pre Horsemen promo from the Best Athlete Alive Today. Whoooooo! Only One!

  • tokyo japan inserted for effect..no doubt he rastled there, so effective.

  • I just keep winning and winning and winning..... WOOoooooo!

  • hey anyone know if the 4 horsemen were a team yet during this interview? because he talks about tully and the andersons like they are enemies of some sorts....if anyone knows let me know

  • I think they came together as the Horsemen soon after that interview (by 1986 to be sure). They were "custom made" baby!

  • damn right they were! "a day in the life of the horsemen" was a great piece and showed how good they had it

  • Just watched that video - those guys did have it good! Membership has its priviledges - lol.

  • When your the Champ, everybody is an enemy.

    woooooo

  • RICK FLAIR IS THE ONE! HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOLD STANDARD!!

  • "Oleg Cassini". Pure class. I love it.

  • The bottom is you walk down that aisle and you win! Whooo.

  • That perm is straight fresh

  • Ric Flair wears "gators"

  • Let give him credit......the man could dress back in the day.

  • Solid promo as usual, plus some cool foreshadowing of the Horseman.

  • No one could match flair on the mic jack ass. So whatever other wrestler you think is sooooo much better, it's probably because it fits your homo erotic fantasy, you faggot!

  • lol "wrapper"

  • He always included mine (Atlanta).....

  • So true. I'll go as far as to say Ric Flair is one of the greatest actors of our time. That stuff is straight from the hip, delivered with the passion and intensity that's missing in today's wrestling. Bravo!

  • "You don't lose faith in winners. And Ric Flair, day in and day out, WOOOO every day of his life, just keeps winnin' and winnin' and winnin'."

  • "...and I just happen to be, the best athlete alive today....your world heavyweight champion!"

  • Was this promo the prologue to the Horsemen?

  • custom made... from the alligators, to the Oleg Cassini.... WOOOOoooo

  • It would be fun to see a list of all the cities that Flair mentioned in interviews when he was somewhere else.

  • After watching all of your videos krayven no doubt Flair is the best interview of all time.
