such a great recording. I have the radio recording from chicago lyric opera as well, but like this one more. can't wait for my ordered CD to arrive :-). the subtitles help greatly!

Me, too! I have the airchecks from the LOC, Paris Opera, and this one from Dresden, and I love this the most. VK is amazing in this show, of course, but Maestro Viotti really rocks from the pit (and the Giulietta of Lucia Aliberti and Tebaldo of Octavio Arevalo are also awesome.

Hey! Sometimes I have a feeling that you know my lines better than I do, matie! ;o) But, yep, I have the hardest time letting this Romeo die in peace whenever I turn on the stereo. He's always having to sing his dying song over and over since I can't seem to stop myself from hitting the replay button. Thanks goodness this performance was broadcast and taped!
