Not since Chocolate rain have race relations been explained in a song more clearly. Here, we have a loud group of afro-Americans demanding that a white boy go on a trip. Blackie is essentially telling whitie to 'leave.'

The irony of the black woman demanding that Bobby, a white boy, 'take the bus' cannot be over stated. In essence she is saying, we're taking the high road, whitie, you take the bus. The Bus of course bringing to mind how Rosa Parks would not take a back seat to whitie. Amazing.
