What I am really trying to ask is the push and push draw patterns are similar, but have different releases, correct? BTW, awesome video. I watch a lot of both of your swings and my game has improved dramtically. Thanks again.
@FOKC same swing i think, just different club face angles, to hit a push the clubface is square to the swing path, a push draw the face is open to the target line but slightly close to the path of the swing. I think they are saying you really don't want to "release" bc this cause most people to shut the face and come across the ball, delofting the club and creating fade/slice spin. I agree, great vids, I have alway watch Dana's stuff, but Carraher's vids are good too.
So, to hit a hook that crosses the line, ball slightly further forward, path more down the line and left (didn't swing out much on it). Correct? To hit a push, face slightly open, play ball back slightly and make an effort to swing out more (to 1st base), extend but don't fully release. Correct? To push draw, ball same position as push (slightly back, but still forward of center), face square, swing out, extend and completely release. Correct?
