Thank Curtis for tring to bring GO-GO to the rest of the country during the 80's. Back then Go-GO was very seldom played on the radio, but you could find the records everywhere in the D.C area. Alot of the PA tapes were of poor quality but they sure captured the spirit of these hard working bands and reminded me of alot of good times I shared back in the day growing up in the Landover MD area.Great clip!
I remember being like 5yrs old and my uncle was at work so I decided to go in his room and try scratching on his tables, I fucked this record and his stylus up so much he beat the fuck out of me for 3 days. Hip hop forever FUCK rap! You better know whats what or you don't know the time. 1 for the treble, 2 for the bass. Peace!
Daaaammm i miss all this .. trouble funk and blow..pure DEVISTATING MOTIVATION COMPLICATING PERPATRAING chooons of that timeeeeeeee .. tranformers robotsssss in deguiseeee woohooo .. u see weres tha tunes gone of tday .. another 12inch in my collection in ma locker
1985 baby! Kurtis Blow father of Rap!!! He discover the Fat Boys when he hoped on a Bus, the bus stopped at a corner and he saw 3 fat guys doing something with their mouth (beatboxing). He jumped off the bus and met them. He had never seen nor heard something like that. The rest is history!!! Oldskool FOREVER!!!
I never knew what the heck he was saying. It sounds like "Danceformers, cloak of every skies" but that makes no sence at all. If anyone knows what he's really saying post it up yo!
My mouth is wide open. I can't believe it. I haven't seen this video since BET's Video Vibrations in 1990. used to love that video even before that! LOL
LMAO..was he tryna market those Transformers action figures..?--nah I doubt it. But did he really say that Transformers trademark quote? ("Transformers, robots in disguise")--lol. Well, this used to get a good play on VH1 Classic Soul, but I haven't seen this video in about 2 years! Thanx for posting!!

@Holliegh319 its hard to tell the difference nowadays.
all the rappers are singing and alot of the singers are rapping or always have a rap feature.
it use to be hip hop for the party type of shit, and rap.the battles, street, grimey stuff.
all has alot of great works in all areas.but late 90s to now we have seen the birth of HIP POP
lil wayne,drake,nelly,luda,.
mainstream is dumbing down our world.no messege worth passing what so ever.

I still have this on album. Trouble funk was one of the most powerful sounding bands in DC, and their live show was straight kickin.
