  • does anybody remember when chuck d of public enemy came to the capital center and said fuck go-go and crowd went crazy that thet could perform..

  • he almost got his ass kicked

  • Nice post! Funk you

  • AMAZING. I used to hear this song on the school bus radio in Kindergarten(Many moons ago) LOL

  • FUNK FOREVER!

  • I am on complete funk beat overload ...Id like an instrumental version as Curtis can stiffle it and let the music roll. Trouble Funk rules da show.

  • had no idea there was a vid for this!!! noice!

  • Thank Curtis for tring to bring GO-GO to the rest of the country during the 80's. Back then Go-GO was very seldom played on the radio, but you could find the records everywhere in the D.C area. Alot of the PA tapes were of poor quality but they sure captured the spirit of these hard working bands and reminded me of alot of good times I shared back in the day growing up in the Landover MD area.Great clip!

  • WOW can´t stop dancing

  • I remember being like 5yrs old and my uncle was at work so I decided to go in his room and try scratching on his tables, I fucked this record and his stylus up so much he beat the fuck out of me for 3 days. Hip hop forever FUCK rap! You better know whats what or you don't know the time. 1 for the treble, 2 for the bass. Peace!

  • They were the songs to listen and still are!

  • T-Bone ....T-Bone...

  • Daaaammm i miss all this .. trouble funk and blow..pure DEVISTATING MOTIVATION COMPLICATING PERPATRAING chooons of that timeeeeeeee .. tranformers robotsssss in deguiseeee woohooo .. u see weres tha tunes gone of tday .. another 12inch in my collection in ma locker

  • Maybe the rappers now a days need 2 go back and see how it is done. Old School is the best rap.

  • Teddy Riley used this onnTeddy s Jam

  • @Holliegh319 its hard to tell the difference nowadays.

all the rappers are singing and alot of the singers are rapping or always have a rap feature.

it use to be hip hop for the party type of shit, and rap.the battles, street, grimey stuff.

all has alot of great works in all areas.but late 90s to now we have seen the birth of HIP POP

    lil wayne,drake,nelly,luda,.

mainstream is dumbing down our world.no messege worth passing what so ever.

  • I still wop@will.

    Try it.

    It's still cool.

    I can't stop.

  • YO!!!! HE DID THE WOP TO GOGO!!!! Kurtis Blow is too ill!!! Havent seen this in years!!!

  • hell fucking yes

  • 1985 baby! Kurtis Blow father of Rap!!! He discover the Fat Boys when he hoped on a Bus, the bus stopped at a corner and he saw 3 fat guys doing something with their mouth (beatboxing). He jumped off the bus and met them. He had never seen nor heard something like that. The rest is history!!! Oldskool FOREVER!!!

  • Daaaaaaaaaaamn! That is from the old school! I remember when I was a yougin' that joint would come on OK100 in DC. Who remember that?

  • I still have this on album. Trouble funk was one of the most powerful sounding bands in DC, and their live show was straight kickin.

  • HELL YEAH.

  • this actually aint only hip hop but this is go-go yall its from d.c.

  • this is what real hip hop is all about, takin it back to the boogie down summer of '86

  • this is real hip-hop, not that shit-hop destroying our culture and flooding MTV and BET(young dro, young buck, young jeezy etc)

  • I 2nd that. There's only a litte of it I can listen to.

  • Teddy used this on Teddy's Jam

  • I never knew what the heck he was saying. It sounds like "Danceformers, cloak of every skies" but that makes no sence at all. If anyone knows what he's really saying post it up yo!

  • "I am the Leo the lion, the lion with desire. When I'm rapping on the mic I set the world on fire."

    I'm a Leo too.

  • My mouth is wide open. I can't believe it. I haven't seen this video since BET's Video Vibrations in 1990. used to love that video even before that! LOL

  • LMAO..was he tryna market those Transformers action figures..?--nah I doubt it. But did he really say that Transformers trademark quote? ("Transformers, robots in disguise")--lol. Well, this used to get a good play on VH1 Classic Soul, but I haven't seen this video in about 2 years! Thanx for posting!!

  • he says " transformers GO Go in disguise "

what ever happened to the go go scene ?

  • The GoGo-scene is still alive .

Not so long ago there was a tribute-DVD released in honour of the GoGo-Godfather Chuck Brown

  • i'm gonna check this right now! :)

  • did this have something to do with transformers? or is my memory totally mixed-up?
