  • gotta loove the screech.... from all five of them.

  • lol yeah, my dad told me that one of the directors did horror movies and there was no way he wouldn't add his own personal touch

  • This seems a little bit too scary for a gift certificate of 12

  • How did the asian chick die? I bet it was pretty nasty....

  • I love when Sam Raimi try to let the audience scaried! He always get it!

  • Btw, fun fact!!! :) Doc Ock's arms are real, not computerized. They are motorized and controlled by stagehands off screen

  • i watched dis movie wen i was 7 nd i cried... cuz i felt so srry 4 de surgeons... :( until i learned its fake :D

  • WHO'S LAUGHING NOW??!

  • its SAW!!!

  • I saw this in theaters when I was in 2nd grade. Scared the shit out of me.

  • Is this original or alternate? When I first saw this movie, this scene was different

  • See kids, THIS is why you never leave home without your boomstick.

  • @kitkompo I don't get it. How would a shotgun have protected them?

  • Amazingly, this only got a PG in the UK instead of a 12A. My 7yo nephew was terrified when he first saw this, gave him loads of nightmares! We had no idea it was going to have something as intense as this when we took him to see it.

    It's a great scene though.

  • I never understood what happened to the guy at 1:29

  • @ManNotFoundDog My guess is that it wasn't pretty.

  • @ManNotFoundDog he dead

  • @thegreat0298

    No shit.

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOTING THIS

  • SAW

  • 2:21 No second taxi. 2:22 Second taxi.

  • HIPPOCRATIC OATH MY BUTT

  • This scene scared the hell out of me when I first saw it. I still find it to be very disturbing actually. It just goes to sow how something can be made frightening without the use of blood.

  • dr.Octopus V.S Grey's Anatomy.

  • i've seen this movie its so good better then the first one i hear the third one is good when there's two spider mans one is red the other is black

  • TYPICAL RAIMI FILMING! I love it! It is SUCH an Evil Dead moment right down to the surgeon raising up the chainsaw like Ash. There was no music. It wasn't needed for this scene. The sound effects was more than enough. And the arms with the camera attached, quickly going towards chainsaw surgeon from their POV as if they're "The Evil" from Evil Dead. I fucking LOVED this scene!

  • Apparently he did take shop class when he should have been taking a welding class because he doesn't realize that A SMALL CHAINSAW LIKE THAT CAN'T CUT THROUGHT METAL!!!

  • 1:12 SURGEONS UNITE!

  • I want 8 mechanical arms on my back!!!!!!

  • yes i agree, all characters evil or good must be understandble. I mean creators must show how they became evil and show their psychology! Nowadays films are losing this making evil just a joke, life is just a joke...( Joker)

  • @darksoulzzzz The unique case about the Joker is that they've kept consistent in (most of) his incarnations that his origin is a mystery - nobody EVER knows who he once was or what made him become the Joker. Few takes have tried to peek at what he may have been like pre-Joker, such as Lovers And Madmen, Going Sane, The Killing Joke, and of course the '89 movie. The Killing Joke is the most popular and accepted Joker story, giving him a possibly tragic background and explanation.

  • @SpinalTree Do you know where i can read The Killing Joke, because i want to try understand Jokers psychology. Joker is the hardest to understand victim of all times and comics.

  • @darksoulzzzz Any bookstore with a decent selection of Batman comics should have it, it's among the top 4 greatest Batman comics ever, alongside Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth. If it interests you at all, The Killing Joke is written by Alan Moore, who is also noted for writing Watchmen, V For Vendetta, and Swamp Thing. Another good book on Joker's psychology is Joker by Brian Azzarello, though it's not for the faint of heart.

  • "Honey, how's work today?"

"OH MY GOD, SAVE ME, SAVE M-UGGGHRLLLLLLLLLLL..."

  • Is ¿Courteney cox? 0:25

  • I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going...

  • Oh fuck that. Dr. House would have just sassed the arms out of it.

  • I always laughed when the asian lady was being dragged in to the shadows. LOL

  • Such a great scene. But the part at 1:28 reminds me Resident Evil.

  • Great scene, but why the hell do they have a chainsaw in the operating room?

  • @Salien1999

"EMERGENCY CHAINSAW - DO NOT BREAK GLASS UNLESS IN NEED OF COLONOSCOPY"

  • @SpinalTree LOL

  • @Salien1999 why woudnt they have a chainsaw in the opereating room

  • @studio41698 Because this isn't Frankenstein, although it would be funny if at the end Dr.Octopus was like "It's aliiiiiave! It's alive!"

  • I just watched Spiderman 2 earlier today and never realised just how much of Sam Raimi is in this scene. It's like hes back making Evil Dead movies <3 I got a nerd-on when I saw the hand raising the chainsaw at the end.

  • @YOUNOTCOOKING

it's awesome how many references to evil dead there are in this one scene, only realised it when I watched this again the other day

  • Asian woman being dragged away by tentacles? I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going.

  • iv always collected spider man comics when i was a kid

  • I never cared much for him in the comics, but Doc Ock easily became one of the most bad asses heroes ever. This scene is much more than graphics, it's the sheer essence of what villains are made of! This actor, and Heath Ledger are giving life to comics most gruesome kind. Such lack of regard for life, the execution of it all... Excuse me while I just geek out.

  • Doc always impressed me in the comics. I do agree that this is one of the finest comic villain portrayals to grace film, but to discredit the character otherwise would be a crime. It would be like saying every Joker incarnation ever save for Heath Ledger's is obsolete, when the truth is many are quite amazing, without taking from these film performances. I recommend the comic "Spider-Man/Dr. Octopus: Year One"; it shows the depth and menace of his character on a whole other level.

  • @SpinalTree Wheres the @?

  • Doc Ock: best villain ever....who would mess with a guy with 4 tentacles attached on his back? Specialy after this.

  • lol I like when he screams "Noooooo!!" the four metal arms are also like "wraaaagh!"

  • i think doc oc is stealing something from star wars ep 3 :PPPP

  • @animefan0258 actually that movie came out 1 year later i believe

  • @trevsworld1 lol doesent matter its still funny :P

  • Forget Spider-Man or Doctor Octopus. This film should have been about Unfeasibly-Strong-Nails Nurse. Is she Wolverines long-lost grandaughter or something?

  • that scene make me remember a lot of the Evil Dead series from Raimi. Mainly because of the amazing camera work and that chainsaw scene.

  • Press 2 for doctor getting repeatedly smashed

  • i saw this movie when i was 7. this gave me nightmares for at least a few days

  • Lol 0:23 I never knew Surgeons could fly *0_o*

  • i love sam raimi

  • IT ALSO LOOKS LIKE FRANKENSTEIN

  • IT'S LIKE THAT VADER QUOTE: NOOOOO!

  • MAN HER NAILS ARE SHARP O_O

  • that was very mean of you Dr. Oct.....

  • best scene

  • 1:04 lol John Landis

  • This video needs some darthvaderno.wmv

  • As silly as it is now, I sh*t my pants when I first saw this scene in theatres. *Shudders*

  • Kudos to the guy with the mini chainsaw.

  • I will never forget seeing this scene in the theaters. While everyone else seemed horrified, I had a big grin. I had watched Evil Dead and Army Of Darkness the night before. Sometimes Sam can't help himself. The scene was like a deranged wink to his horror fans.

  • saw this when i was 7, and thought it was a cool scene, but I just saw it yesterday and was HORRIFIED!!

  • probably the most brutal scene out of any spiderman movie, but yet this was great

  • This scene kicks...

    ASS!

  • PATIENT'S PROGNOSIS: Excellent - Full chance of recovery (with some minor modifications)

    HOSPITAL STAFF'S PROGNOSIS: Ummm...... Terminal

    that is all

  • sure its horror scene and nice one, btw sam raimy ftw director of this movie did evil dead series

  • Shit I mean violnet and still my english sux! :(

  • Loooooooool! If this were for real my classamets would shit them selves seeing deadly robotic arms of doom and destraction! :D

I know my English sux and my classmates are bunch of idiots they think spiderman movies are for kids and loosers! They should think again this far my favorite spiderman movie in existence, couse its sooooooo ciolent and awsome! :)

  • its funny how some superhero movies seem innocent and family friendly and when you see them, there is a disturbing scene like this one.

  • Anyone know which doctor is John Landis?

  • @strawlaneproductions I think Landis was the doctor who Peter tries to get advice from when he's getting a checkup later on in the movie. Maybe. I might be wrong.

  • This scene is 100% Raimi.

  • this is truly a disturbing video!

  • You can definitely tell this was done by Sam Raimi.

  • when we saw this part in tha movie 3D those robtoic arms poped out right at you half the time i was flinching

  • thats a nice shot 2:02

  • Four deadly arms that can think for themselves... I want them. It would be cool to have an extra set of (hands?). I would never have to take a self defense class. Thanks for uploading by the way, its an awesome scene. :D

  • @NightmareTroubador imagine masterbauting ;)

  • I thought this was so well done that it didn't seem to fit in Spider-Man

  • [/facepalm]

Everyone thinks superheroes and comic books are just for kids. I own *plenty* of Spider-Man comics that parents would never want to let their children read.

  • @SpinalTree I totally agree.

sometimes things happen and I am like : O.o I know what my children will NOT be reading!

  • @FinalFantasyGirl3 I love that superhero material as a whole is a very versatile thing. It can fit any genre and any age group. Unfortunately most people seem to generalize that superheroes are only for kids and get absolutely shocked when things like The Dark Knight, Watchmen, and Kick-Ass come out in theaters, and the parents complain and complain while I just roll my eyes and think "FFS, superheroes have gone through stuff more grim than this since before the 80's."

  • @SpinalTree The thing is that many people say "i grew up with it" and I totally agree, that the whole hero-concept is mistaken to be for kids. I see your point :)

  • @SpinalTree And if you include manga...

comics are not for kids if you include manga lol

  • @SpinalTree why? can you tell me something?

  • what was that girl going down????

  • I like how almost the entire scene had no music lol

  • This is Spiderman not Evil Dead! lol

  • and my friends said i was a hospital massacre in gta 4, wow they need 2 c this. lol anyways this was from 2.1 wasnt it,

  • Sam Raimi at his finest.

  • LOL 0:56. Omg that woman has had her calcium.

  • you see, its situational irony because doctors are being killed by doctor octopus. GRAMMAMAN AWAY!

  • Killing a room full of doctors...Evil Dead style!!

  • This scene used to terrify me to the point where I couldn't even bring myself to open my eyes during it. Why couldn't they have done the stuff with the Symbiote like this?

  • You could definitely tell this is a Sam Raimi movie even you have no idea who the director is. Sam has his own unique style apart from other directors.

  • @LordMalice6d9 yeh hes quite auteristic

  • Love this scene it was orginial Sam Rami style back to the basics of Evil Dead. It was competely dark and set apart from the rest of the film and I loved it.

  • Thumbs up if RallisP sent you!

  • RallisP represent!

  • I like this movie even more than both Watchmen and Dark Knight....I do love the Dark Knight though.

  • peter rallis

  • No more Grey's Anatomy....

  • that did not give me an ass kicking fix....

  • lol

  • That doctor who got hit @ 1:05 is Jon Landis, the guy who directed Animal House, An American werewolf in London & The Blues Brothers

  • ASS KICKING FIX'D!!!

  • so if doc ock tried to cut off his tentacles would the tentacles freak out and smack him in the face

  • @snowballer234 They'd probably just restrain him. I mean, there are 4 of them, which is twice the number of arms he has. Plus, they're connected to his brain, his neural synapses, so they know what he's thinking, and the can also bend his thoughts.

Aside from all this. He's fictional, so... whatever.

  • In deed, Spiderman 2 is a great hero movie.

  • whatcing this as a ten year old was realy disturbing.....

  • FIIIIIIIXXXEEEDDDD

  • ha the raimi is so clear in this scene

  • Awesome scene! Sam Raimi is a great director.

  • what did he say? any here take what class?

  • @Jenivera shop class

  • that first doc got thebitch slap of a lifetime...damn

  • FIXXED!

  • was it really necessary to have his tentacles scream as well?

  • In 2:34 i see World treand center left!!

  • In 2:21 the taxi is no good jump! Very big mistake!

  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

  • around 2:34 where it fades to that pan of the city, you can see one of the towers of the world trade center all the way to the far left for a second. stock footage before 9/11, they flipped it though

  • lmfao

  • when i first saw this it scared the hell outta me but now it still does

  • alfred molina was amazing in this film

  • best scene in the movie!

  • Classic Sam Raimi!

  • Comment removed

  • I wanna know how those things actually killed that guy.

  • And thats why you don't make stupid jokes in hospitals.

  • Did sombody just die?

  • ... A whole bunch of doctors? Duh?

  • @lucario788 ya they all died they did not get up after he took them down

  • @NintendexF8000 your chances of getting laid

  • this is rather disturbing lol

  • @RaptorQueen Well that's how it was meant to be : P

  • This really is straight up Evil Dead. Chainsaw and all.

  • This is the 2.1 verson

  • this is intense dont u think Xd

  • i remember watchin this part at the movie with my dad then all i saw was ppl dying

  • when i was 6 this scared the hell outta me now i laught uncomfortably

  • I love this scene. So well done, you can really tell it's Sam Raimi style of directing. You can really see some of the shots he uses are just like the ones he used in his cult favourite Evil Dead.

  • Classic horror methods used in this. Love it.

  • Spiderman 2 is so fucking awesome. Just like Terminator 2, Empires Strikes Back, Back to the Future 2, Aliens, The Two Towers, Batman Dark Knight, Evil Dead 2, Superman 2, Kill Bill part 2, Chapelle show season 2. Can i get a witness?!?!?!

  • What i wondered is its pg-13 Raimi could have at-least added a little bit of blood. Still one of the coolest scenes though

  • Sony wants to make Spiderman darker in the reboot, can it get darker than this while still reminding people that this is a spiderman movie.

  • @spideyfan2002

Sony are making some big mistakes, I don't think it can get darker than his in a Spider-man film, and this specific scene is only for one apect of one character. The reboot better not be all like this lol

  • hehehe were all going to die 0:01

  • LOL imagine all the poor little kids during this scene. Their first introduction to "Evil Dead."

  • What's amazing about this scene is that its 50% women screaming and it just gets BETTER AND BETTER. The nails scraping the floor... no hot nurse ever got it so bad.

  • morphius44

    kid.ha movie isnt that old.

    you would have said Chucky.

  • i want those arms

  • This scene exemplifies raimi's style completely. The zoom ins, fast paced cut to's, it all goes bck to the beginning with the evil dead trilogy, and I love it all. *paying tribute to ED with the chainsaw

  • @tphart88 Absolutely man!

  • this scene is pure evil dead. If you haven't seen Sam's early work, do so.

  • This film was a frickin PG.

    HOW!?!?!?!

  • @Nuggets566

    No blood.

  • I always thought this scene was scary, espically if i see a hot nurse get killed

  • The 2nd Spiderman movie was clearly the best in the series.

  • that scene is so Sam Raimi! Reminds me of his older stuff... so freakin cool.

  • dont fuck with the arms

  • I was eight when I saw this film in the cinema and I left during this scene. Looking back at it, it's kinda cool now.

  • Awesome

  • If the doc with the chainsaw is Bruce Campbell it wil be seriously cool

  • This whole scene was awesome on the big screen. That and the train chase.

  • My favorite scene in the film

im happy it is the extended version.

I love that Raimi incorporated his over the top horror roots into the film...you can really tell its his own style.

  • i wish the whole movie was thiz brutal
