@nosaltadded: You got that one right, brother. Never saw a bigger bunch of baffoons than this group. And they're handling loaded weapons, too. Remind me not to be in the same state as them when they're firing.
Don't Sharps rifles eject the shell when you pull the breech lever open? Watch "Quigley Down Under," Tom Selleck used a Sharps Rifle in that movie. I have no idea if anyone can shoot it that fast in real life.

NYredneck17 10 months ago
@NYredneck17 depends on who made it. not all of them are worth that much lol.
craveman85 10 months ago
@craveman85 yeah i looked all over the gun for a manufacturer stamp and couldnt find any
NYredneck17 10 months ago
@NYredneck17 you probably didnt miss out then. if it doesnt say c sharps, shiloh, pedersoli, or uberti then its probably not worth having.
craveman85 10 months ago
@craveman85 yeah i know, and if it were one of those then it would be well over 1000 dollars.... maybe over 2000 for certain models

It's painful to watch a fine firearm handled by a bunch of retards.
nosaltadded 1 year ago
@nosaltadded yes and did you notice he was trying to load the gun with the barrel pointed up. the shell seem to be sliding out of the breech.

It only pops the shells out like that when you pop the lever down hard.
The block has a spur that pulls the ejector when it lowers.
So if you just drop the lever, the shell is eased out.
Pop it down and the case flies across the range.
Then some idiot steps on it.

The loading mechanism reminds me of a Martini Henry.
majorporpoise 2 years ago
The Martini Henry has a loading breech like the Peabody(Canadian rifle).

Yarder122 2 years ago
Oh yeah, I reload for it.
I even cast the bullets for it!
They cost me about 12 cents a piece.
screamingcockatoo 2 years ago
how much did your reloader cost?
Yarder122 2 years ago
I got my reloading press at a garage sale 20 years ago for $5!
It's a Lyman Turret top.
We load 45-70, 45ACP, 45LC, 44MAG 38 Special 30-06 and 223.
screamingcockatoo 2 years ago
all the ones I see are worth hudreds but you got a good deal!

colonelporpoise 3 years ago
I bought it used.
I believe it was made in the 1990's
rtison 3 years ago
I thoght this was an old Shiloh 1874 sharp rifle.
Maybe it's a reproduction.
colonelporpoise 3 years ago
Yes, it's a reproduction.
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
Cool, I should get myself one.
colonelporpoise 3 years ago
You'll have to reload for it as the rounds are $1.25 each!
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
I really have to learn how to cast bullets if I want these types of firearms, especially if I want an Arisaka!
colonelporpoise 3 years ago
What make is that ? And barrel length ?
tljkelly 3 years ago
Taylor Arms. 31" barrel.
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
is that the gun like on "quigly down under"
ive held one, they are heavy as hell!
jofus21187 3 years ago
Yeah, it's similar.
The Quigly gun had a silver endcap on the fore grip and the patch box was still on the buttstock.
Quigly's gun was supposed to be a converted blackpowder Sharps.
The original Sharps used a black powder charge and a percussion cap.
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
I love that movie!!!
The flip sight was in the front I believe, just like the 03 Springfield.
colonelporpoise 3 years ago
i love the old sharps rifle, 45-70 with a cast 405gr bullet is good medicine for moose.
moores20062007 3 years ago
We get together once a month!
Then grill out for lunch afterwards!
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
Yes, when the lever is pushed forward, then pushes an extractor back, eject...-LAUNCHING the case out of the chamber!
screamingcockatoo 3 years ago
do these not have an extractor when you open the action?
