@franzken you do know that MS gives long warrantys, the first generation xbox360 had a 3 year warranty, the new ones have 1 year, so you could have replaced your one month old broken xbox for free, something sony didnt do when the ps3 used to break back in 08-09, there is no sense in blowing sony or ms cock, they both done good and bad

@bigben1731 Metal Gear Solid 3, Portable Ops and Peace Walker didn't have Solid Snake. Are you implying those games aren't fit to be called Metal Gear? Anyways, MGS 4 and Rising basically have the same graphics, just different game play. Stealth is going to be used in Rising, like previous Metal Gear games. If you do proper research you would probably know this. Matsuyama, the guy who has creative authotiy of Rising has been involved in every single Metal Gear game since Metal Gear on the MSX.
Lol they had to cut stuff out to fit it on one dual-layer blu-ray, of course there would be no 360 version as it would take around 6 discs xD! Xbox needs bigger discs, I am not bashing it but they need bigger discs. They are holding games back from their potential. All of these fights about "My system is better!" is very annoying. I owned both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, but returned my PS3 so I could buy my friends and family some Christmas presents. I enjoyed playing games like Metal Gear Solid, Heavenly Sword, and Mag while I still had it, and I still enjoy playing Gears of War, Halo, and Fable. IMHO, I felt that playing multiplayer in Xbox Live had greater extremes (Had more n00bz and more 1337pros), while PSN had more player closer to the middle.
Sorry but i own both consoles and i like both of them just fine...I don't know why people fight over which console is better when the reality is they share simliar features

I hate to break it to 360 fanboys... but Metal Gear Solid 4 could never be on 360. The reason ps3 is able to support it is because of a little extra you 360 fanboys say you "dont need" to play all your games. Well guess what? Thats right! PS3 owners are able to enjoy MGS4 because of Blu-Ray! Reason? MGS4 is a 50gb game, while a DVD disc can only support 9gb. You would have to switch out your disc 6 times! 1. Yes, please do the math, compare the two rates of overheating back then and now. The new Xbox "Slim" doesn't overheat from what I've heard at all.

Yes I understand RISING is coming to 360, but from what I understand, the franchise (MGS4 or 5 :\) is coming, I wouldn't see the point in releasing rising without porting the other ones, because it would be like Halo coming to PS3, (which for your guys sake, I hope doesn't, it sucks.) but them only releasing ODST.
Also, im getting a PS3 too, just to play games like MGS4 and Resistance, the exclusives on PS3 are usually 1000x better than on 360, where in my opinion, regular titles are better on the 360, due to more people and "exclusive" DLCs. But yeah, atleast I have splinter cell conviction to feed my need for a good stealth genre game until it happens. See, I had a PS2 and loved it, but MGS3 wasn't an exclusive or I think that was MGS2 or something :\ which convinced me to get a 360.

Yes but the difference would be very minor, to say that that Metal Gear Solid Rising will not look better because of disc capacity, if the XBOX 360 had much better hardware the graphics would be better and not limited at all by the disc capacity. But the biggest limiting factor is the XBOX 360 wouldn't be powerful enough.
Well im just making a point that other things take up a lot more disc space than that, textures aren't very space consuming at all and neither are character models, especially when you are only lowering the quality, not getting rid of them.

But one of the reasons Heavy Rain could not have been done on the 360 without dumbing it down a lot was because disc capacity. One of the reasons they had to cut out nearly "An entire game" from Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 was because capacity on the disc.

@PeopleR2sensitive have fun being stupid. The reason MGS4 cant be on 360 is because you would be swapping 6 discs out every hour or so. The reason being is the Blu Ray, an xbox360 disc only holds about 9GB, while MGS4 is a 50GB game. Sorry, mate, MGS4 isnt coming to 360.

what every happed to doing more with less. developing game within constraints leads development teams to create more efficient ways to produce media any body can make and 700mb movie file full up an hard drive if encoded improperly most of metal gear 4's bulk is video which can be down sampled or stored on the hard drive beside disc media distribution is going away DLC is the future and xbox 360 is set up for that future quite well. i would not be surprised if 1TB drives are in XB 360's future.
DLC is a joke...you end up paying 3x more than the game itself just for multiple DLC which isnt worth it...you make a game and sell it...you dont break it up and charge each peice as a full game...oh and...until recently...the XBOX 360 was stuck with a £50 60GB hard drive...i could get a 500GB 2.5" hard drive for that much

Well, no. It's still disappointing for people who grew up playing the MGS series who got a 360 and then MGS4 comes out and says "yup, we're only going on ps3 lol". I love both systems...i prefer the PS3 by a long shot because the consoles are catered for different needs...the PS3 for long time experienced gamers who want to play their existing franchises and the 360 for kids who want to shoot people in the face...and to be honest the new Jasper model has not stopped the RROD as much as stated...it is still a very very unreliable MoBo...

I dont know any good exclusive game series on either XBOX or the XBOX 360 but it would be nice if you named them...the Jasper model is NOT a big change...the failure rate is still a solid 20%...and why would it take 5 years to fix when YLOD was eliminated within a year on the PS3...i think Micro$ofts had you on that one...
Bayonetta is the most common fanboy fuel...nothing more than a sloppy port...if you want to know a real developer look at the Japanese...and the Xbox 360 in the UK is not very worth it...the PS3 is only a fraction cheaper...as i want to watch HD movies...I have my PS3 in the bedroom and i want online the PS3 has this built in...if i were to add this onto the 360 i would be looking at double the price...

Hahah, the only game in XBOX 360, what I want to see in PS3 is Alan Wake, and that's because it's from my homeland. Uncharted is way better than Halo, Gran Turismo is way better than Forza, Killzone is way better than Gears of War, and Heavy Rain is way better than Mass Effect. Then we have LittleBigPlanet, God of War, InFamous, Metal Gear Solid etc...
According to Kojima himself, the team needed to make some cuts just to fit the game onto a Blu-Ray disc, which can hold up to 50 gigabytes of data. Now, if they had to work to cram MGS4 onto Blu-Ray, can you imagine what they'd need to do with a 360 version? It'd have to be distributed amongst 5 or 6 dual-layer DVDs! Now, you get irrefutable proof: MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive, and will remain a PS3 exclusive. So get over it, 360 owners
MGS was the best game of its time. The graphics in MGS4 where Snake crawls slowly are almost porno and going back to the old days finding porn mags in lockers in MGS. The concept of 4 is awesome but the AI is truly dreadful. If you have got months to spare get MGS4, if you want a shoot fest with awesome graphics MW2 FTW but MW2 is way too easy to get good at.
It would take SEVEN discs to play through the whole MGS4 games on a 360... Playstation 3 holds back on games if they aren't exclusive just so they can meet the needs of a 360. PS3 is capable of way more than a 360. MG5 shouldn't be for 360... It won't be as outstanding as if it were an PS3 exclusive, they'd be able to fit 5 times more stuff in it.. Dammit, Kojima, what where you thinking??

@bigben1731 Metal Gear Solid 3, Portable Ops and Peace Walker didn't have Solid Snake. Are you implying those games aren't fit to be called Metal Gear? Anyways, MGS 4 and Rising basically have the same graphics, just different game play. Stealth is going to be used in Rising, like previous Metal Gear games. If you do proper research you would probably know this. Matsuyama, the guy who has creative authotiy of Rising has been involved in every single Metal Gear game since Metal Gear on the MSX.

All of these fights about "My system is better!" is very annoying. I owned both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, but returned my PS3 so I could buy my friends and family some Christmas presents. I enjoyed playing games like Metal Gear Solid, Heavenly Sword, and Mag while I still had it, and I still enjoy playing Gears of War, Halo, and Fable. IMHO, I felt that playing multiplayer in Xbox Live had greater extremes (Had more n00bz and more 1337pros), while PSN had more player closer to the middle.

I hate to break it to 360 fanboys... but Metal Gear Solid 4 could never be on 360. The reason ps3 is able to support it is because of a little extra you 360 fanboys say you "dont need" to play all your games. Well guess what? Thats right! PS3 owners are able to enjoy MGS4 because of Blu-Ray! Reason? MGS4 is a 50gb game, while a DVD disc can only support 9gb. You would have to switch out your disc 6 times! And kojima himself said MGS4 wasnt coming to 360. Stop saying its coming to 360, its not!

The only thing that was negative was not having MGS4. So i picked the 360 :P. And well mgs2 was out on first xbox so i thought maybe konami and kojima had greater plans for the next mgs. Also, im getting a PS3 too, just to play games like MGS4 and Resistance, the exclusives on PS3 are usually 1000x better than on 360, where in my opinion, regular titles are better on the 360, due to more people and "exclusive" DLCs. But yeah, atleast I have splinter cell conviction to feed my need for a good stealth genre game until it happens. See, I had a PS2 and loved it, but MGS3 wasn't an exclusive or I think that was MGS2 or something :\ which convinced me to get a 360.

Yes but the difference would be very minor, to say that that Metal Gear Solid Rising will not look better because of disc capacity, if the XBOX 360 had much better hardware the graphics would be better and not limited at all by the disc capacity. But the biggest limiting factor is the XBOX 360 wouldn't be powerful enough.

But one of the reasons Heavy Rain could not have been done on the 360 without dumbing it down a lot was because disc capacity. One of the reasons they had to cut out nearly "An entire game" from Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 was because capacity on the disc.

what every happed to doing more with less. developing game within constraints leads development teams to create more efficient ways to produce media any body can make and 700mb movie file full up an hard drive if encoded improperly most of metal gear 4's bulk is video which can be down sampled or stored on the hard drive beside disc media distribution is going away DLC is the future and xbox 360 is set up for that future quite well. i would not be surprised if 1TB drives are in XB 360's future.

I love both of the systems.
And before you start jumping to the Red ring of death story. After the Jasper upgrade for Xbox 360 the RROD problem became a history. And now fewer and fewer people have problems with 360s.
And sure,some games have better graphics. But some games (like bayonetta for example) take longer to load and lag more on PS3.
And Xbox 360 is cheaper retail and piracy wise.

I dont know any good exclusive game series on either XBOX or the XBOX 360 but it would be nice if you named them...the Jasper model is NOT a big change...the failure rate is still a solid 20%...and why would it take 5 years to fix when YLOD was eliminated within a year on the PS3...i think Micro$ofts had you on that one...

Bayonetta is the most common fanboy fuel...nothing more than a sloppy port...if you want to know a real developer look at the Japanese...and the Xbox 360 in the UK is not very worth it...the PS3 is only a fraction cheaper...as i want to watch HD movies...I have my PS3 in the bedroom and i want online the PS3 has this built in...if i were to add this onto the 360 i would be looking at double the price...

@brendude95 I am not on anyones side,before i had a Xbox 360 i only had a PS2.
I loved the console and played it all the time. But when the PS3 and Xbox 360 came out. I looked at all the sides (not to mention my wallet) all the pros and cons (AND before 360 came out i played Halo on the PC and just loved it)...And after some thinking just went and got the 360.
I just wish the immature fighting and gibberish between 360 and PS3 would stop...Its just a thing of a personal opinion after all.

I am more on SONY's side...i do beleive there is a console for everybody but i do not agree with the 360's success...360 will brag about stuff and people will nod thinking wow they are the best without realising there is something better round the corner...and btw i tottally agree...the PS3 when it launched was a very big mess so i dont blame you...i decided to come in this gen late where the PS3 had really picked up

Hahah, the only game in XBOX 360, what I want to see in PS3 is Alan Wake, and that's because it's from my homeland. Uncharted is way better than Halo, Gran Turismo is way better than Forza, Killzone is way better than Gears of War, and Heavy Rain is way better than Mass Effect. Then we have LittleBigPlanet, God of War, InFamous, Metal Gear Solid etc...

50gb of data dual layer
mgs4 was dual layered
xbox 360 needs more than 2 disks because of the dvds take only 4.7gb and 8gb of data

According to Kojima himself, the team needed to make some cuts just to fit the game onto a Blu-Ray disc, which can hold up to 50 gigabytes of data. Now, if they had to work to cram MGS4 onto Blu-Ray, can you imagine what they'd need to do with a 360 version? It'd have to be distributed amongst 5 or 6 dual-layer DVDs! Now, you get irrefutable proof: MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive, and will remain a PS3 exclusive. So get over it, 360 owners

MGS was the best game of its time. The graphics in MGS4 where Snake crawls slowly are almost porno and going back to the old days finding porn mags in lockers in MGS. The concept of 4 is awesome but the AI is truly dreadful. If you have got months to spare get MGS4, if you want a shoot fest with awesome graphics MW2 FTW but MW2 is way too easy to get good at.

It would take SEVEN discs to play through the whole MGS4 games on a 360... Playstation 3 holds back on games if they aren't exclusive just so they can meet the needs of a 360. PS3 is capable of way more than a 360. MG5 shouldn't be for 360... It won't be as outstanding as if it were an PS3 exclusive, they'd be able to fit 5 times more stuff in it.. Dammit, Kojima, what where you thinking??
