@DutchRabbitLove That is completely false information. Newborns weigh anything from 30-90# at birth. My Jersey cross was 65#, my Holstein was 85#.

@akissy That is also false. Normal birth positions are the most common. It is also not great that people think that animals need help every time a birth is taking place. Many cows do very well on their own. I would assume this particular birth had a beginning problem, but did not need to be aided the way it was. The calf was normal-sized, the cow was a mature full grown, experienced cow.
