Police are a blunt instrument that the rich and corrupt use to eliminate their opposition. Ask yourself one question, why wasn't the president of UC out there addressing the issue, suggesting a meeting. Why would they use police on a protest that would cause injuries on student that are paying 40,000 a pop a head? So it doesn't catch on.

@MrChuckd41 Yes. That was in 2009. It wasn't just for the teachers... 1/3 of the administrative staff was laid off, including janitorial services and office administration. Classes were severely cut, I remember trying to get an "Ethnic Studies" class, just to be full time and keep my student aid, and there was about 20 of us trying to get into 2 openings in the class... none of us even wanted a class on Ethnic Studies, but it was one of the only classes not "full"

Classes were severely cut, I remember trying to get an "Ethnic Studies" class, just to be full time and keep my student aid, and there was about 20 of us trying to get into 2 openings in the class... none of us even wanted a class on Ethnic Studies, but it was one of the only classes not "full"
