Very cool stuff brother! Do you ever set-up from the clinch or do you prefer to feint and shoot? Just curious, maybe I'll make a video on some entries. Good job though man, put some more stuff up!
@psykojojo Thanks, psykojojo! I definitely do use set-ups from the clinch or off of arm set-ups, like an arm-drag, a 2-1, etc. I also like shooting from the outside as well, though.
0:38 is really cool! very explosive. it also looks deceptively akin to a single-leg shoot at first. it could really catch out opponents. i'm gonna try it out (and fail most likely lol)
@IchibanPuroresu Thanks a lot, man! For me, having cool "spots" is my ultimate purpose in grappling, so hearing that means a lot!
I think the principal behind the move--which I got from Kingdom Pro Wrestling alumni Masakazu Imanari--is, at least for me, an upside down version of the swing single-leg.
@kforcer i tried that upside-down swing single against a BJJ purple belt.
i ALMOST caught him in a knee bar with it but because i'm a real beginner i got kinda lost and about 5 secs later i was trying to stop his armbar only to have to tap to a painful bicep slicer.
i think the lesson is that your amazing entries are suicide when i'm really just a 'fake' pro wrestler! wont stop me using it in scripted pro-wres though =D
@IchibanPuroresu That's not the lesson at all! You almost caught him! I didn't "almost" catch anything in most of my early attempts at ANY takedowns or offensive moves.
"Almost"=you could've had it, maybe even SHOULD'VE had it!
@kforcer Or maybe i only *thought* that I almost had it but i was actually miles off? ;) More drilling required! By the way, I saw a link somewhere that you posted to a really cool forum talking about the grappling credentials of pro wrestlers... could you post that link again? seemed like a really cool forum. :)
nice stuff. I'm sure I saw Imanari pull something similar to the last one

What the hell? The way that last guy moves towards him looks unnatural. D:

Very nice, slick entries KForcer !
Are you referring to King from Tekken in your description ? Was he seriously motion-captured by Suzuki ?!
Lapo1sse 2 years ago 5
Thanks, Lapo1sse!
Yep; Osami Shibuya, Minoru Suzuki and others did motion-capture work for Tekken...
