  • bravo¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • i thought it was a gigue

  • Wow. I suck.

  • He's way better than I'll ever be but overrated in my opinion. Yamashita slays him in every way.

  • It would be easier if guitars were tuned in 5ths like the cello haha. NICE PLAYING!

  • jeje metallic tone is for the audio recording, bad quality

  • @MrArdelco1970 Russel has fantastic Tone

  • What's all the hurry?

  • Can anyone give me the sheet music??

  • I remember seeing him when I was a teenager 25 years ago in San Francisco in a premiere performance. He blew us all away so much in the first piece, he actually was apologetic that it was too intense! He is something to behold in a live performance.

  • Does anyone know if there is a Russell recording of Manjón's Leyenda and Aire Vasco anywhere on youtube or otherwise?

  • @GyveTurckee I just have the CD that it is on which is called "Leyenda" (oddly), but I play it on here... and I have seen one played on a 11 string (which it was written for) by Jouni Stenroos

  • @Zorguel I would prefer to see a 6-string version despite for what it's written. I have an edition with which my professor worked with Russell in a lesson so I have his 6-string fingerings but I also wanted to hear his interpretation. Could you send me a link to where you've posted it?

  • metalic tone

  • ¡GENIO!

  • Very nice!

  • this is not a great preformance. it is not a particularly hard piece and hes messed up many many times. hes a great player but i dont think this preformance deserves such high appraisal. it could have been done much better. listen to cellists play this. this was written fr the cello for a reason. with the cello it is easiest to give weight to certain note. this piece was intended for that. it is possible for guitar to do it. look up gabriel bianco.

  • @sir1920 I was going to write exactly the same thing and then I read your post. Thanks for saving me the effort.

  • La energía y precisión que Bach exige para todas sus creaciones están en Russell

  • Crystal clear, luminscent Bach. You can't get much better. I'll have to check out more Russell. almost hard to believe its all comming out of one guitar at times.

  • I´ve seen the light

  • David Russell is an awesome guitarist, one of my favorites.

  • ¡Directo a favoritos!

  • quiero tocar como tu

  • WOW!! i just love classical guitar.

  • He's almost too good to be human. LOL

  • @DrewOchsner Don't underestimate humans.

  • @DrewOchsner Excess is never necessary.

  • WOW!!! So fast!

    simply amazing!!!!! :O

  • sounds very fine....tone quality, color, feel and interpretation, Virtuoso with effortless fingers

  • Check out that fast m-a alternation at 1:05-1:09. < :-O

  • Yeah, great technique! Not easy that.

  • I know!!!! Absolutely ridiculous, no one has m & a fingers that are that independent! I have doubts as to whether even JW could play this well

  • Lmao to fast happened when Andres Segovia did the transcription:P

  • Your right, post a video of you playing it a bit slower :-D

  • Sublime

  • Man, what can I say? Russell is a superb guitarist

  • Awesome. Your technique is incredible.
