@hepatitis I agree to an extent but I have to say that science does try to asnwer the Why. Religion simple says they cannot explain something logically so it must be the hand of God, since as an ad hoc we cannot understand god anyways. I am all about respect and peace. So as long as no one is preaching religion in science class I won't go to church teaching science.

If I was a believer (which I am not) I would consider it the greatest insult to my God to claim to know his/her mind. Tell me how is it that religious people always seem to know Gods will? They can tell you everything from God made this, to God did that, right down to ludicrous assumptions likee in this video. Yet, cannot show ANY evidence to back it up. Please tell me. It would have been difficult for god to create respiratory systems or any other type of systems, since god is a fantasy. Time to move on from superstitions... To do so takes some people out of their comfort zones, but that's how you grow.

Religious beliefs only partially concern an afterlife much of them concern HERE and NOW. They affect spending on health care, education, and peace efforts versus killing machines (a religious favorite) - IN THIS WORLD. For that, we do NOT need religion, but we CAN use compassion and rational thought.

I, too, am annoyed at how the majority of "learning institutions" simply just assume that the evolutionist viewpoint is the most scientific and rational, when, as someone else here aptly put it, both require faith: either in God or the absence of God.
Still, when it all comes right down to it, an even more appropriate quote states: "Arguing on the internet is like winning the Special Olympics..." I think you know where I'm going with this. :)

Even the most basic study of biologic functions demonstrates the complexity, design, and organization with which all living creatures operate. We, then, must choose to: believe that something or someone higher than our finite understanding designed and made things this way, or that somehow, after enough time, it all just figured itself out.
Everywhere are examples how life does NOT just default to "figure it out" and make "it" more efficient. Intelligent design just makes more logical sense.
