  • Bastard sold out the Vault! You're the effin' vault dweller, a fallout protagonist, therefore: You are effin' invincible!

  • Tony Jay, Jim Cummings, Richard Dean Anderson and Kath Soucie. We don't see that much talented actors in games nowadays.

  • @HawaiiKnut

Not often... But the rates were different back then also.

    (Toy Story saw to that.)

  • Its funny... but I'd swear this video did used to be out of sync, but it is for me today.

  • Lou: Where your vault is???

Player: I hope you can take rejection =)

Lou: We shall see, wont we?.

    (hits player)

Lou: Feeling better now? now Where is the Vault!

    Player: Im not telling =)

Lou: (Pissed of) i´ll ask you again, Where is the vault.

    Player: Fuck you!.

when i played this part i told him this then he throwed me into a prison cell, then he will take from you all your items. I scaped but i lost all my equipment xD

  • @RichardGrey1

Last time I played, I somehow managed to run away from him during the interrogation; (which you are not supposed to be able to do ~the others usually attack you when you step away from him and it puts the base on alert).

Your equipment may (MAY) have been in the Lou's Locker. There is other stuff in there; I don't remember if confiscated stuff gets put there... But its likely.

  • Just saying. But he have a ''lou tenant' reference in fallout new vegas. On freeside.....

  • why have i never seen this talking head? musta been skipping dialouges with set all the time!

  • @solothurn666

Which one? (I'm guessing that you had to have encountered the Lieutenant)

*First one is "Set", the second one is "Harry" (both found in Necropolis).

  • @GizmoJunk i thought i have mentioned set name in the comment above! :P

  • @solothurn666

Ah.. you did indeed and I missed it.

(some of the dialogs shown end in combat)

  • @GizmoJunk no prob mate ;) though i cant understand the sentence in brackets.

i suppose when i was going through F1 i started shooting at set instead of talking with him ;)

  • fallout 1 had a hell of alot more voice acted dialog..

  • @crabheart Thank goodness they've brought some of that back in FONV

  • Set was amazing with that creepy monotone voice

  • "Going? I believe.... Let me check..." His delivery is just perfect! Great writing and acting makes Lieutenant one of the best characters in any medium. At least I think.

Also, Jim Cummings as Gizmo, Set and Master is superb too.

  • I love Brad Garett here

  • Aw... I always feel sad when I hear Tony Jay's voice.

  • When I first time played Fallout, I allowed Harry to take me to Lou. I thought all supermutants were stupid as hell, like Harry, but Lou really surprised me with his high intelligence. He's been one of my favourite FO characters ever since.

  • @Supertuottaja thats becuase he is what the master intended the supermutens to be if thet were not steril talk about good luck for us normles ah

  • Good old FO1. Btw. is there any connection between your nick and Gizmo from Junktown?

  • Yep. (Gizmo was taken on Youtube, but I have it on the official Fallout forums).

  • i never found a use for 'tell me about'

  • Most heads had several key words....As you see in this clip, ask Harry about the Cathedral, and he'll tell you about the time he went there and they patched him up...

The "Tell-Me-Abouts" had dialog you cannot get otherwise. In some cases you can find hints for them in the NPC's statements.

  • i always wanted to type in "MacGyver" when talking to Killian in junk town, never remember to do it every time. Probably do nothing but worth a shot.

  • The lieutenant's voice is friggin' kick ass.

  • Voiced by the late Tony Jay, (who also voiced Megabyte on Reboot).

  • Yeah i remember that show.

  • DIRTNAP! DIRTNAP! DIRTNAP!

  • Lou Tenant was the voice of some guy on Rugrats i think....

  • The late Tony Jay. Also the voice of Megabyte, and narrator from The Bard's Tale, as well as the king from "Armed and Dangerous".

He was a great voice artist.

  • And he did the voice of the Host on the Haunted Mansion ride?

  • Don't know ~but it would not surprise.

  • i diaglog and acting was great in this game.

  • I certainly agree with you.

  • i hope in fallout 4 they make it a whole like the older fallouts but still keep it in the first person way

  • I think you are expecting to much from Bethesta

  • Fallout New Vegas (4) is being made by the remnants of Black Isle Studios and published by Bethesda.

  • New Vegas isn't Fallout 4. Fallout 4 is some other project that hasn't been announced as of yet, but Bethesda holds the rights to make it if they please.

  • if interplay wanted to make a good fallout game they would've left black isle working on it.

  • lol i clicked on the time to speed up and it said to me WHAT NOW lol

  • It is poorly synced claymation. LOL

*Actually its digitized clay models rendered in Lightwave3D. The lipsync is scriptable and canot match everything exact.

  • About what? LOL

FO3 is like beer in the south; No one knows what the good ones taste like, and they are content with the veritable piss that they sell here. They love it, and I don't begrudge them... but they don't know anything better. :shrugs:

  • More to the point... What they sell here is all that it needs to be to sell. ~and that's the depressing part.

  • Don't say much do ya... lol

  • cool story bro

  • It's much better synced ingame, FRAPS and other recording programs lag many games, especially fallout.

  • Comment removed

  • The video is pretty laggy, its the reason it looks like "poorly synced claymation"

  • Wow they look pretty good for back in the day. You could talk to Super Mutants?

  • Yeah, you could talk to everyone you encountered (even raiders). The Super Mutants in the first parts also didn't kill you straight away, unless you attacked them first or if you pissed them off in conversation. Bethesda took the easy way out with FO3 and made Super Mutants, Ferals, raiders and other critters evil. But that's because FO3 was turned into a action-packed FPS, while the previous parts were isometric RPG.

  • @DutchCop Yea im a big Fo3 fan and all but after watching the other fallout videos I realized what happened. Bethesda cheaped out on everything and made up for it with blood and gore and exploding body's.

  • @MrVid1000 and they even cheaped out on the gore parts!

  • Most high ranking super mutants were very intelligent(especially the master and lieutenant) Harry is well, special.

  • Ha! That's quite a compliment! LOL

~though I doubt you meant it as one.

  • This sounds exactly like the voice actor who now plays tigger on winny the pooh. Lord knows what his name is.

  • Jim Cummings

  • who is the ghoul at the begining i dont remember him

  • That would be "Set" ~He rules the Ghouls of the Necropolis.

  • That he is... The actors name was Tony Jay.

  • Awesome examples of good voicing and NPCs in a game. I see people complaining about your video about "Fablivion". Strange though I dont see anyone say something about a comparision between talking heads and the NPCs in Fallout3? How comes that ...
