  • What would you prefer Bill if you had the choice of a 6.0 or 6.4 and were going to bullet proof what ever you got?

  • @irongiant101 I'd stick with the 6.0. The 6.4 has some VERY VERY expensive issues and they get crappy fuel economy.

  • would like a quote on getting a 6.4 bulletproof

  • @shaunscc Call 770-931-4070.

  • Bill i have the opportunity to buy a 6.0 powerstroke with 120K for a really great price. Ive watched your video of what to look for when buying a powerstroke and it all seems to check out and run cherry. now if I buy this truck I am going to do all these things that you recommended in this video. however I will not have the money to have these done all at once right after i buy the truck. what would you suggest that i install first, second. . .? thanks for your time

  • @danfarmman Do the EGR delete or bulletproof EGR cooler, a new oil cooler and coolant flush. and dp-tuner to turn off EGR system. This will help your head gaskets run as long as possible. If and when it starts to loose coolant then consider bulletproofing.

  • Powerstoke Specialty-How much do you charge for Bullet Proofing a 6.0? I'm interested in bringing a truck to GA and have this done.

  • @clevelleful Check out my vid "cost of bulletproofing" or call Scott at 770-931-4070

  • Hi bill, what is the best u could do to a 6.4l to make it run for a long time?

  • @jedwilson95 If you live in an area that does not do emissions testing on diesel then do the dpf delete and tuning. Cobb's diesel has the best prices. Also keep the oil changed regularly and use factory Ford a fuel and oil filters ONLY.

  • Howdy Bill. Great vids, love em. I had a question that no one I talk to seems to know the answer. i have a 05 4x4 with 8 inch lift and 38 inch tires. I think they are 38.2 specifically. I have head studs and egr delete and program and exhaust. Pretty powerful. But I was wondering if I should step up the gear ratio? I still have my stock 3.73 would I benefit from going to like a 4.56? I don't do much hwy driving. Mostly in town under 55 mph. THanx Keep up the helpful work.

  • @ORYGUN11x The 6.0 is blessed with a 4 speed transmission that has a lower first gear than the older 4R100 that was in the earlier 7.3 equipped trucks. This helps with the larger tire size. But if you want some more off the line power and take some load off the transmission, I'd go for the 4.56 gears.

  • @powerstrokehelp I thought the 6.0's had the 5 speed torqshift??

  • @miller45103 You are correct. It is a 5 speed. The 2011 is a 6 speed.

  • You really have to pull the cab off

  • Hey Bill, I am looking at an '05 F350 Lariat with a dually with the 6.0 and I am wondering could I actually run Biodiesel in a 6.0 without clogging up the turbocharger and EGR system. After watching your 6.0 vs 7.3 diesel videos I can see why people may think its a junk engine but i can see it as a good runner. When i do get a 6.0 i will be adding if not already added the ARP head bolts and possibly the other things you had mentioned to get it to preform for a long time.

  • 6.0 diesel is a peace of shit. my dad bought a 06 6.0 and it has 110 thousand miles on it and it has burnt up engine already, we had to replace egr and oil cooler at 90 thousand and now at 110 and it wont start so we take it to 2 diesel mechanics and they both ran a compression check and 7 pistons were around 390 (10 psi below minimum) and one is at 210 psi, and it is from the truck getting hot when the egr went bad the first time and it melted the cylender walls down anough to lose compression

  • @yfz450911 So the truck is junk when it was the driver who ran it hot as hell because he was in a hurry and didn't want to stop. And now you are pissed off that it is going to cost big bucks to fix it. The engine needed to be bulletproofed at 90k when you had the initial problem. The mechanic put a band aid on a broken leg. So its the trucks fault for an incompetent mechanic and a indifferent driver. if you want it fixed correctly call me at 770-931-4070 ask for Bill

  • So the whole problem starts with keeping the coolant system very clean and then adding some ec-1 coolant which does not sludge up from heat. When the oil cooler can do its job like it's suppose to the oem head bolts will never stretch and the factory gasket will not be problem.

  • @ljhopp1 That is ONE scenario leading to head gasket failure. I have seen plenty of head gasket issues with clean coolant, tuning is the number one killer of head gaskets. Malfunctioning EGR system pumps exhaust heat right into the coolant pressurizing the coolant system and ultimately pushing coolant past the coolant cap. But by far the biggest problem is the "Loose Nut behind the wheel" I.E. driver abuse and neglect.

  • The actual problem is not the head gasket but rather the ford coolant that breaks down easy and sludge’s up which clogs the oil cooler. When the oil cooler gets clogged the cooler can't cool the oil enough to get rid of the heat. So the oil is then not cooling the piston enough which creates higher combustion problems which then creates more heat that makes the oem head bolts stretch.

  • @powerstrokehelp How exactly is the heat from the head gasket getting into the coolant. How does arp studs allow less heat to get into the coolant then regular head bolts? The arp studs don't stretch like oem head bolts. But from my understanding if the oem head gasket is good then it's good. If the oem head bolts are good then heat won't get into the coolant.

  • Do you know of any places in new jersey to get a 6.0 bulletprofed?

  • Some of the info in this video is wrong. Head gaskets and EGR coolers are not the problem, it is the oil cooler. The oil cooler gets clogged with left over sand from the casting process which restricts the flow of coolant and this will cause excessive pressure to build up in the cooling system and take out the EGR cooler and the head gaskets. 99 out of 100 times you just need to repalce the oil cooler and EGR cooler. Do your home work before you start replacing or deleting anything. Sorry Bill

  • @PowerStrokeGuru1 Dont be sorry. Most of the customers I have want a one stop solution. Fix it ONE time. And yes you are correct the oil cooler is a very large part of it. 80-90% of the time when we have done just the egr cooler and oil cooler the customer is back within a few months with head gasket issues needing and oil cooler again because the truck has heated up. The customer is aggravated that I did not fix it right the first time, so we usually go right to bulletproofing in the beginning.

  • Hey Bill, I have a 2004 F250 ext cab. 2 wd. with 76000. I have done the 4" magnaflow turbo back, Airhog cold air filter intake, EGR bypass, and run a 2005 Superchips tuner.

I am looking at the bullet proof video and see you don't mention anything about the intercooler, (stock has plastic tanks. Mine have split before), and the intake elbow, (stock is restricted air flow).Do you have any othet recommendations ?? Thanks for the videos & the awesome advise.

  • @dieseldad55 The CAC or charge air cooler is an item that we inspect when we bulletproof and replace if needed.

  • Hello Bill. You talk of most items to bullet proof the 6.0, but you don't mention anything about the intercooler (stock has plastic tanks) or intake manifold elbows (stock has restricted flow). I have done the EGR block off, type as you suggested, 4" Magnaflow turbo back exhaust and an Airhog cold air intake filter kit. My 2004 F250 truck has 76,000 mi. and I tow a 12000 lb. 5er, about 2000 mi./year.

  • hey i was wondering if removing the silencer ring from the turbo has any benefit besides the cool whistle?

  • Bill are you saying the 6.7 will out perform a 6.0 that's bullet proof and modded with exhaust, tuner and intake/

And Lizardman I have talked to bill in the past on the phone, he personally took the time to answer my questions and at a time when all anyone could say about a 6.0 is I don't know or its a PoS. He is hands down the most knowledgeable person that I have ever talked to about the 6.0. I live in Houston and when I buy my next 6.0 It goes to him day 1!

  • @excinarater I'm just glad I could hep.

  • Respond to this video... Yes the tuned 6.7 is the fastest diesel truck I have ever ridden in even with NOS. and it does it with no effort. It is a true wolf in sheep's clothing, just put put around like it is stock but mash the pedal and hang on. The only cars I ever rode in that ran like this is my cousin's 1970 hemi cuda that was heavily modified. Scary as hell. And a 1981 Porche 930 Ruf twin turbo. That car would kill some one who did not respect it in a matter of minutes.

  • hey Bill, i was on the autotrader website today and saw a 03 6.0 f250 and a 06 6.0 f350 both for a good price. And i was wondering do you recommend the early 6.0 or later 6.0 in terms of dependability, reliability and fuel economy.

  • Hey Bill, Just purchased an '07 with blown gaskets. While I am under there with the cab off, do you recommend an aftermarket fuel filter system like AirDog or XX-Fuel? Both those brands include water separator filters. Or do you have a brand you've used in the past? Really appreciate the help! Your videos are making this much easier for me and saving me some cash too. God Bless you!

    Tim

  • @strumem90 I have had nothing but trouble out of aftermarket fuel systems unless you order the complete system from ELITE Diesel Engineering. For most aftermarket fuel pumps the stock fuel lines are too small so the pumps get hot and burn up. Left many of my customers on the side of the road. Type "6.0 ELITE FUEL SYSTEM UPGRADE" into the search bar above. Or type "INJECTOR IMMORTALITY"

  • @powerstrokehelp thank you for the info! I appreciate it....

  • hmm, too bad the egr delete procedure is illegal, got to bulletproofdieselcom if you want better advise then this guy

  • @lizardman212002 Last time I checked this IS still the United States of America and we are free to do what we want with our vehicles. The emissions systems never worked correctly on the 6.0 in the first place. I agree that if you live in a jurisdiction that requires diesel emissions tests, the bulletproof EGR system is the best solution, I recommend them all the time.

  • I dont know if you can answer this or not but, what truck should I by a 7.3 a 6.0 or a 6.4 i will do a lot of city driving and some towing of trailers up and down hills. I drive 30 to 40,000 miles a year. I am in college and VERY good mechanicaly going to college for mechanical engineer. But I need a diesel what do you think I will have the best bet with. I will be modding it also to take out ricers. Thanks

  • @REMFORDPOLARIS If you want to go fast save your money and buy the new 6.7L. The performance is astonishing even in mild tunes. You will be able to suck as many of those hondas and Nissans up your tailpipe as you want.

  • Sweet! 6 more pmts on my Excursion 6.0 then I can start getting real work done on it.... See you soon!

  • Quick silly question; my Uncle Keith owns Cold Stream Ranch found in BC, Canada and he is a Ford guy, as well as I am. He has about 14 6.0 PSDs and he really loves them. He tells me ALL 6.0s that are matched up with automatic transmissions it automatically has the well known 'Alison' tranny.

  • @4rdt0ugh08 That is not true. the Allison transmission is a GM product used on most class 6 and up chassis. The transmission in the Ford trucks is made by Ford.

  • How much more reliable will my engine be with just an egr delete

  • @DilleymanF250 IF your head gaskets are in good shape it will help tremendously. Most people who do the delete are doing it to replace a blown EGR cooler and usually they compromised the head gaskets in the process. The only way to be sure is to bulletproof it.

  • my 2004 f350 6.0 has 83000 what do you charge to do the studs?

  • @O7ROADKING Please call 770-931-4070 and Scott will be happy to go over the different options with you.

  • Where is GA. are you located and do you do work on trucks? Thanks Athens GA.

  • @willienunya In Buford ga. go to POWERSTROKEHELP dot C O M website for more info.

  • Was the head gasket blots changed in the 2006?

  • @willienunya they were supposed to be improved but we see just as many 07s as 03s. The tuning was definitely dumbed down for emissions and lessen warranty claims.

  • Do these suggestions pertain to the 6.4 also? I have both. Did head gaskets and egr cooler already (105,000 mi.) and so far no issues (knock on wood) with my 6.4. Just want to take precautions.

  • @bigskyguy7911 tuning and dpf delete are the best thing for the 6.4.

  • would the egr delete kit solve the problem with the 6.0?

  • @slspg EGR delete will help with the Engine Damage Avoidance System installed.

  • Is this a common problem?

  • @tjgreen23 It is common on trucks that have been tuned and run hard. Most stock trucks dont have this issue unless there is a part failure and the driver pushes the truck.

  • I've got a question for ya, say I'm looking to purchase a 6.0L from a dealer. Would I be better off to keep the powertrain warrenty? Or so you think I should just drop the warrenty right off the bat and "bulletproof" the truck, bypass filters and all that? What are your thoughts?

  • @hOnDaRaCeRr Save your warranty money and bulletproof the truck. It is money well spent.

  • Great video and advice. Recently our fleet of E350 6.0 have had cooling fan problems. One in particular has a cooling fan that won't shut off, any advice? I would appreciate any leads.

  • @mikenita333 You need to have the PCM reflashed with the latest ford program. This is more than likely a software issue.

  • @powerstrokehelp i have a 06 powerstroke that emmitted codes p0299 and p0234 overboost/under conditions.l was told that the turbo needs to be cleaned and that even though my egr was in good operation that i sould do the egr delete while they clean the turbo.Does doing the egr delete help prevent head gasket failure? My truck is 100 percent stock.Whats the best egr delete kit and is there any negatives to the engine by doing this.Truck has 52000 miles. Thanks for helping us powerstoke guys cheers!!

  • hey i have a question i recently had to replace my turbo. i went with the garret 3788va ever since i changed the turbo the drain tube leaks i went from the stock one to the new ford oil drain tube and it still leaks and i also changed the oring seals to a little bigger cat seal and it continues to leak. what am i doing wrong here ? because to be honest im tired of this truck !

  • @tjgreen23 Hard to say without looking at it.

  • Glad Ford dropped International as their engine supplier.

  • @GETRDUN I'm sure that that sentiment is echoed in Dearborn also.

  • What would you recommend more, a tune, or the straight pipe to prevent aganist egr repairs?

  • @f18pilot5 For the best results you really need to do both together, but the easier one to do first is the tuner.

  • hey i have a question i got my trucks coolent flushed about 6 months ago and the coolent level was right to the line. i just recently check the level and its well below the line now. i delete the egr cooler about a year ago. so i took that off my list of things that it might be possibly be. could it possibly be the head gaskets or oil cooler ? and if so should i check the oil for coolent ?

  • @tjgreen23 Replace your coolant cap with the latest Ford Cap or Motored cap from autozone. Bad coolant caps are common in the 6.0 causing unnecessary coolant loss and inefficient cooling.

  • I have an 05' 6.0 Super Duty and I've never had any problems with It. And that's after towing/hauling 10-15,000 of lumber a couple miles every weekend. I'm not saying It won't ever have problems but for that year 6.0 It's by far way more dependable than my 06' Dodge Cummins which within the year I bought It, the transmission broke and the front suspension.

  • @caterpillarV8 I see trucks from the fleet service point of view. Dodge and Chevy both have substandard brakes. You cant keep a transmission in a mildly tuned Dodge. Chevy had all kinds of injector problems. So everyone can point fingers at everyone else. Once the problems are addressed with the Ford (bulletproofing if you are going to use tuning) it is the best overall truck out there.

  • do you think the banks Techni-cooler intercooler system with the high ram inlet would be a good investment for the 6.0 in the long run?

  • ive done the egr block hit for about 5 months now i have to leave the valve in to keep the engine check light off. i tryed running the truck without the valve and the truck ran like crap. and the truck runs fine now. now im have a new problem i keep getting codes that say turbo/ supercharger low boost level would that mean my turbo is going bad. keeps to be boosting more then it did in the past

  • @tjgreen23 Usually low boost comes from poor fuel pressure. No fuel = no fire = no boost. Check your fuel filters especially the lower one. You may need a fuel pump. Check out my you tube vid 6.0 Fuel Pressure. It explains it well.

  • Hi Bill, I've been thinking about tuning my 6.0 but I am stuck between getting the SCT livewire or the Banks six gun. I've herd good things about both, I like the shift on the fly option on the banks. I have straight piped banks dual exhaust, banks techni-cooler, egr block and the afe stage 2 intake done to my truck already. Ive been told to go with the banks tuner cause it will work better with the banks products i already have, just wondering what your opinion is. Thanks

  • @lylenkrienke Banks makes stable products but I use Jody at dp-tuner dotcom with excellent success.

  • @SgtMcCools1 I have tested all the EGR delete kits on the market and come full circle to taking the original EGR cooler and welding both ends closed. This takes care of a few issues, coolant leaks, broken Y pipes on the back of the turbo and a visual inspection. this combined with Jody's no-code tuning should get you through inspection.

  • How's it going Bill? Love all of your videos! I've had my eye on an 05 PSD in Houston for a while now. I gave them a call and they said it was in the shop having its EGR replaced. I asked why and the guy said that the engine temp was fluctuating up and down..I kind of felt my heart sank. Does it sound like he has bad head gaskets or is it really the EGR?

  • @cabowabo290 I may possibly just be the EGR cooler but they really need to install a new OIL COOLER when they are in there. Watch my 6.0 SPRING COOLANT SERVICE video on you tube. This really explains the issues involved.

  • I've noticed ever since I str8 pipe exhaust my Turbo screams to 30psi at prolonged times, isn't that bad for valves and intercooler?

  • @f350powerstroke It wont hurt the valves or intercooler. It may pop one of the blue intercooler boots. the real risk is shearing the turbo shaft and causing a runaway condition. Very few things will pucker your ass than to stand there and watch your engine rev uncontrollably to 6000+ rpm until all the oil is used up from the crank case.

  • i have a question needing answered asap any help is greatly appreciated, i have found a 2007 f250 fx4 powerstroke 6.0 with 65,000 miles with 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires that i am very interested in buying in 3 days, i am new to the world of diesels and wanted to know what are some things i should look out for before buying and will the lift and tires put to much strain on the 6.0 and cause engine or transmision failure?

  • @03grizz 35s should be no problem. As long as the lift was installed correctly IT should be no problem. You need to look at HOW TO BUY A POWERSTROKE vids on the POWERSTROKEHELP website. You also need watch HEAD GASKET TEST FOR 6.0 POWERSTROKE. And if you have a mechanic that will check the Diagnostic codes in the trucks computer, you should be able to for form a good idea of what kind of shape the truck is in. If you are local Atlanta we would be happy to look at it for you 770-931-4070.

  • I may be going to look at a 2006 f250 6.0 with 77,000 miles, and i watched your series on buying a used powerstroke(it was really great), but im wondering what i need to pay careful attention to in regards to the 6.0 engine and the cooling system.

    thanks

  • @bigredford150 Drive the truck hard and see if the cooling system pressurizes. If you remove the cap slowly (be careful not to get burned) and coolant gushes then you have ahead gasket issue. Either get them to alter the price or walk away.

  • I have an 04 f250 powerstroke. I did the arp head studs $800, black onix head gaskets $230, egr delete kit $450. I also have delta force tunning stacked with edge attitude with juice. I did all the work myself. I had the heads taken in to be magnafluxed, a must if u have head gasket problems. Had to take the cab off but I had a vehicle lift. Any person with mechanical knowledge can tackle this project, and need a lift. Any questions about this email me at airmanpierce@gmail.com

  • @airmanpierce The Master Mechanics series on the POWERSTROKEHELP website has a section devoted to this project. You are right a person with mechanical skills and a lift can execute this job successfully as long as no details are left undone.

  • Hi thanks for all the help with 6.0.

You said that for little money I can delete the egr valve .

how ? I live in Danbury Ct you havy a video thankssss...

  • The cheapest I've found for the arp studs (in Alberta Canada) is 6 grand....but they throw in the egr delete....but dammit thats expensive

  • @lifebeginsat190 We do it for a good bit less. We are on the way to Florida and have great campsites nearby. Call us at 770-931-4070 if you want to make an appointment with us.

  • what does it cost to bulletproof a 6.0 parts and labor?

  • @njrun call 770-931-4070 to get a quote on bullet proofing

  • @powerstrokehelp i was looking a 6.4 with 180k miles...the coolants a orange kinda rusty looking...should i avoid the truck? or u think its just a simple coolant flush needed

  • @Bajaheat A high mile 6.4 that has not been cared for correctly is a hole in the ground that you will pour money by the thousands of dollars into. Run dont walk away from that truck. Unless he will sell it at around 50% of rough book.

  • @Bajaheat The orange/rusty coolant leads to cylinder head issues as well as oil cooler/front cover leaks between the oil and coolant. The coolant needs to be flushes using iron cleaner, about a 3.5 hour procedure... and if it looks real bad, do it twice and cross ur fingers damage already hasnt been done

  • what is the best tuner from DP-Tuners would it be the livewire or other?

  • @batalha1990 Jody at dp-tuner.com has the best custom tunes on the market.

  • I saw your other video regards to the newer 6.0L (2006-2007) and you mentioned FORD has done many refinements and corrections on those engine. With that being said, does the newer 6.0 still need the modifications like head studs you demonstrated above? I sold my 7.3 which was a big mistake, and I'm now looking to buy another, would you say it is safe to buy the newer 6.0? I definitely don't want to buy a 6.0 and would still have to spend money to fix it!!!

  • @reempire888 All 6.0s need bulletproofing or at least and EDAS installed to be reliable.

  • Bill do you sell a kit to do the EGR block off and if you do drop me a email @ Firstduetowing@aol.com

  • @monroevfc1 The EGR delete kit from Sinister is probably the best system out there.

  • can u put an egr delete on the 6.0 with out ripping the whole thing appart

  • @HUFFY15067 I like to remove the intake and soak it in Diesel fuel and clean out all the carbon build up from the EGR system. Yes it does require removing the turbo and intake manifold and you might as well flush the cooling system while you are there, because it will be full of contaminants if the EGR cooler is bad.

  • @powerstrokehelp how much does a an egr delete and turbo down spout tube cost for labor only roughly?

  • Still under warranty, dropped off my F350 yesterday....Handed them some ARPs and should have it back in short time...Leaky headgaskets !

  • Being a Ram/Cummins diehard, your videos are a MUST WATCH!!! If they're were more guys like you out in real world, diesel trucks would be more readily accepted and praised. Keep up the GREAT WORK, regards.

  • alright thanks for the reply. we have a 05 6.0 with almost 80 thousand miles on it. the first thing we did with it when we got it brand new was put pillar gauges on it the exhaust temp and engine temp. do you think we should do anything to it? they said when we go it that it would go to 200 thousand plus and we wanna test that. what break downs will we face on the way to the 200 thousand mile marker?

  • @uberbadnoob6699666 EGR cooler delete is the by far the best upgrade, this combined with the 80 Econo tune from Jody at Dp-Tuner will effectively shut down the EGR system which will allow the engine to run significantly cooler. The last thing to install is the Engine Damage Avoidance System EDAS available on the powerstrokehelp website. This will warn you when you are experiencing conditions that may cause damage to your engine.

  • what do you think of the 2011 6.7? do you have one yet? do you think they will last as long as the old internationals?

  • @uberbadnoob6699666 we wont know for a couple years. BUT with it being a FORD motor the politics and parts chain is much easier to deal with and any warranty downtime should be minimized.

  • Man great videos, great information, thanks

  • Great Videos! Does anyone recommend or have tried the Bio Diesel? Also what kind of fuel economy is everyone getting? I'm currently getting just under 18mpg on the freeway at 70mph, 2004 6.0 liter.

  • Thank you so much! Im so glad a top of the line mechanic is taking his time to show the community all these extremely helpful step by step videos. Your work is great, please keep it coming. Im buying an 07 6.0 soon and i hope to use your vids to make it last until its last years.

  • Nice video it's really helpful.I wanted to know do you(bill hewitt) have an email address so I can email you

  • how do you feel about the 6.0l if i'm not going to be towing anything, all i'd be doing is using it as an everyday driver? should I do these upgrades?

  • hello bill. this probably has nothing to do with the vid but i went to the ford dealer to get all the parts for tranny service for my f250 which has the torqshift. they gave me mercon 5 and then i learned they gave me the wrong fluid. but i had already ran it for 3-4 days. what should i do? i already called them and they gave me mercon lv but idk if the mercon 5 fluid thats left in the filters will harm it or that i ran it with mercon 5 will harm my tranny. let me know what i should do ? plz

  • Do you have any opinion on the new ford diesel engine for 2011? Good, bad and the ugly.

  • I was thinking about buying a 6.0 f350 with 71,400 miles on it but I am concerned because it has already had the transmission , egr cooler, oil cooler and the head gaskets replaced. Now the truck does not look abused but I am fairly new to the diesel world so I wanted to ask somebody who knows what they are doing. Thanks a lot for the vids they have helped me out so much.

  • My head gasket just failed last week i knew it was going to happen eventually, the only bad thing is that both my heads warped. This made a $6000 job spike to $9000 so from my experience DO IT BEFORE IT FAILS.

  • Bill you really have a GOD given talent when it comes to these trucks. You are an angel sent to save us from our powerstroke woes!!!

  • Bill you really have talent given by GOD for this kind of stuff. You are an angel sent to save us from our powerstroke woes!

  • You have some awesome videos, very informative. Great detail. its a one stop shop. thanks

  • whats the hours of labor it takes for installation of the arp studs?

  • i dont regret buying my 6.0l anymore... thanks a million, keep em coming. wish we had someting/ someone like you up here in canada.

  • FEAR IS BASED ON IGNORANCE. If I can help you see how to deal with the few fatal flaws of this design and then you can go on and have another 200,000 miles out of your truck then I have succeeded.

    All the Best

    Bill @ POWERSTROKEHELP

  • Didn't they do that with the egr because of stupid clean air act. Thats why they stopped the 7.3 production right. that's what I have herd.

  • we need you up here in canada bill, thanks for your videos, they are very comprehensive and make sence

  • How much does a headgasket/stud job cost?

  • It depends on who does the work. If you want Powerstroke Specialty to do the work call 770-931-4070.

  • I just have to ask. Why is the body off the frame?

  • @gliderp thats how the motor is worked on, cab is pulled

  • bill, you are a powerstroke god! you get right to the point, and are VERY detailed and helpful with your advice! huge fan of your channel, keep it up!

  • Thanks Bill! You are giving me the confidence to consider replacing my 7.3L truck with a 6.0L truck.

  • I just did the ARP studs and new gaskets on my 04. Definatly a good investment. Love the videos, keep them coming.

  • Finding a competent shop with a competent mechanic can be difficult! Great videos--wish I lived closer.

  • You should be a teacher ,You rrealy know what your talking abought.Keeep them comming awsome vids, thanks for posting
