Bellissima questa 50th anniversario, davvero un gran colpo di classe da parte della Gibson, so che costa un occhio della testa, quasi come una les paul.

Perfavore però abbassa la cinta della chitarra è orribile vedere suonare una explorer così alta.

@vittoriocas in effetti una LP costa decisamente di più...questa con 1700 Euro me la sono portata a casa. Ovviamente non l'ho comprata in italia, dove mi hanno deriso appena ho chiesto se potevano procurarmela... Lasciamo perdere. Volevo uno strumento di questo tipo, con pickup dalle sonorità più classiche al posto degli orribili ceramici che ora montano sulle explorer standard. In realtà la tracolla non è alta...la chitarra mi arriva alla vita (sono alto quasi 1.90 XD).

@Edge985 Eheheheh, dai fin quando ci suoni in casa ti abbono quest'altezza della cinta, ma se dovessi suonare live perfavore allungala al massimo,facci cucire addirittura una prolunga e mettila non come slash ma quasi, alla hetfield insomma, altrimenti suonare dal vivo con una explorer cosi alta sarebbe un pugno in un occhio,DOH!

Beh 1700 euro per una explorer sono tantissimi, ma calcolando che è una limited nonchè anniversary e poi è Gibson,allora ci stanno tutti eheheh.A che negozio chiedesti?

@vittoriocas aspe aspe...precisiamo un paio di cose...questo video è ormai vecchio per quanto mi riguarda...rispetto ad allora l'ho allungata leggermente e ci suono live quando ne ho occasione. Volendo potrei allungarla ancora, non sarebbe un problema...non lo faccio sia per il motivo spiegato sopra (mal di schiena), sia perchè non mi serve avere l'aria da shredder suonando in una tribute band U2,sia perchè mi risulta proprio scomodo XD. Detto questo, già da tempo la tengo qualche 10cm piu bassa

@Edge985 hai presente l'angolazione del body sopra il pickup al ponte? Beh quella deve finire sotto le balle, quindi dovresti abbassarla di altri 30 cm. AHauhauhauahuah scherzo dai, alla fine l'importante è suonare comodi e bene.

Li shredder di solito hanno la chitarra talmente alta che ci poggiano il mento sopra e si vede tranquillamente l'ombelico. ORRIBILI!

@vittoriocas anche qui bisogna distinguere tra "shredders" scolastici che tengolo la chitarra altissima proprio come dici te (in effetti il modo in cui ti insegnano a scuola è questo per avere una postura corretta ecc...), e gli "shredders" da palco, (Metallica,Scorpions,Lynyrd Skynyrd) che stanno piegati come archi incordati XD... proprio per il genere che faccio, sfigurerei se la abbassassi ancora...guardati i live U2 e giudica tu stesso XD

@vittoriocas oddio..se uno volesse andare dietro alla Gibson, ci lascia il patrimonio...praticamente ogni chitarra esce come limited...hanno una limited alla settimana!...escluse quelle che fanno ormai di plastica (explorer e lp studio x dirne 2...) dire se vale o meno i soldi spesi, non mi interessa molto in verità. suona bene, ha bei dettagli, un ottimo feeling...x quello che ci faccio io almeno.

l'ho acquistata in un negozio in germania (mi pare un certo guitar shop...) un buco sperduto..

Due settimane in un negozio in Campania (non faccio nomi) chiedevo delle valvole mesa boogie, mi hanno guardato e risposto come se fossi un pazzo a pensare di trovare certe cose

Per carità, non sono nessuno, ma per me come per molti, 1700euro sono TANTI (avevo 21 anni all'epoca e ci ho messo parecchio tempo a guadagnarmi quei soldi)... e ricordo ancora la telefonata al suddetto negozio; il commesso che risponde e: "ahahahah ma dove credi di trovarla? cosa? non esiste...figurati non la trovi da nessuna parte ..." ...e rideva... in una parola: ITALIA.

@mca1houn that guitar WAS NOT made for shredding or something similar. It's a guitar with specific features of the 1958 Explorer, high action and low power ALNICO pickups. There are many kind of other Explorer made for heavy metal and shredding but not this one ;) bye

grazie davvero! arrivare ad avere questa chitarra e' stato parecchio impegnativo. In italia non l'ho trovata in nessun modo; anche il piu fornito negozio gibson nei pressi di bologna (evito di fare nomi), mi ha riso dietro quando ho chiesto di ordinarla :(. Alla fine l'ho trovata in un comune negozio di strumenti in Germania.

L'ho presa per il tuo stesso motivo: volevo che avesse le stesse caratteristiche dell'explorer originale.

Not sure if you're saying that thats how the edge gets his delay sound or not. If you are, he also uses a massive Korg Delay unit in addition to just having stereo amps.

Hey, absolutely great cover - especially the intro. I already try to get this sound with my Gibson Les Paul Studio and my BOSS GT-8 multieffectboard, but I haven´t found it so far. I think it´s really based on the guitar in this case.

armonici intro: pup ponte + delay (dd20)

intro beatbox: pup manico (niente effetti)

verse: pup manico + delay (dd20)

chorus: pup ponte + ts9

riff: pup ponte + delay (memoryman circa 220ms)+delay (dd20 circa 420 ms)

bridge (whammy): non ho il whammy...solo delay (dd20) che disattivo quando canta "see the world in green..."

outro: pup manico + delay (dd20)
