  • I've raised chickens "free range" and I've toured Hickman's...there is no difference in the quality or taste of the eggs, but I will say caged chickens have an easier go of it! They don't have to worry about coyotes, foxes, hawks or even snakes! Plus, the caged chickens don't have to tough out bad weather (they even have A/C in the summer!).

Kudos to Hickman's for raising happy, healthy chickens and tasty eggs much more economically than I ever could!

  • Not sure about your idea of free range... free range chickens are subject to several diseases, weather extremes and predators. Chickens are naturally very dirty animals and will eat anything they can find. This includes feces!

Chickens raised in hen houses/battery cages always have food, clean pens, clean water and a comfortable temperature. I would much rather eat an egg or chicken that was produced in a controlled environment and not free range....at least this way I know what I am eating!

  • Wow, you're misinformed. These chickens receive no antibiotics. It's not necessary because they are in special housing. And, they get plenty of light as I've personally taken a tour of the Hickman Family Farms here in Arizona. Free range absolutely has its place in the market and always will. But free range is not the best for chickens. Study after study has proven this.

  • Wow this is terrible - FREE RANGE IS BEST people!!! These animals don't see the light of day. Horrible. Also, are they pumped full of antibiotics? THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR EATING PEOPLE!!! 'm unsubscribing from this channel!
