This tune was on a carl cox mix tape back when I was at school and to this day it still gives me the same feeling as it di d then. im fortunate to have two copies on vinyl just incase one ever wears out.
grrrrr!!! listning to big tunes likes this makes me wish i spent my teenage years in the 90s rather than childhood oh well still smash it till i die!!! :)
i am only 15 years old and absolutley love old skool 90's and 80's dance electro, drum and base, the lot my uncle who got me into it all as hundreds of vynals this is one of my favorites could you name a few more so i can make cd would be a great help?????
Check this event out at Bowlers in Manc if your into your old skool, went to the last one and it was just like back in the day ww.theultimaterevival.co.uk
Back when people just said HARDCORE...not jungle, dnb, drum and bass, darkcore, breakcore, hardstep, raggacore, hop-jump-n-skip step, hopscotch etc. etc....All that creating of definitions and boundaries always ends in someone being segregated...Amen brother...it's a break!
i was given a comp tape when i was about 11 by my next door neighbour, this was on it...i was 'into' my dance/rave music anyways - but this will always stay with me as a marked moment in my growing up...a classic tune i later bought on CD
on a massive 90s rave trip right now, going thought all the recommends on youtube - brilliant stuff
fantazia, obsession, dreamscape, helter skelter - i was a lil too young to go but i made up with it in tape packs (which I still have!) :D
a club classic that never gets old just brilliant it takes me back 2 when clubbing was clubbing not like now till 2 at the latest!! and full of cocky powder power 18 year olds who think there bad cause they sell a gram of bing!!
@littlebabybum if you search up dannybyrd sweet harmony remix or something youll see what clubbing has started to become ;) i wouldnt know because of my age but they are both rad songs
memory goes = never liking this track at the time - feeling the ride still from some filthy warehouse over the weekend - being in some huge painting studio in Camberwell - opening the massive windows out onto Peckham estate's grey view -- with my friend Jenny--- feeling the dirty Peckham warm air coming through the windows, that number 12 bus blocking the high street...and this coming over the radio ---suddenly smiling and thinking " I'm so fucking glad im doing all this right here -NOW".
Makes me sad listening to this. Happy memories of a time `I can never re-live. This is when clubbing was at its best, everyone loved each other and just wanted to dance. God how I miss it
for those of you too young to have been clubbing when these kind of tunes were new.....sorry! :p but can you imagine hearing a new style of music in a relatively new clubbing environment, with a relatively new drug (E rediscovered) and then blend them altogether. like a magical recipe of beauty. the energy in this scene was incredible. the people. the vibes, the gurning. oh yeah...love it all
Ohhh god I miss the 90's..Such amazing music just kept coming. XL Recordings was the label to be signed to for every new good upcoming artist or group. So was Rising High Records. What happened to XL Recordings anyway?

@dawesy041972 yea man i get wat ur saying and its gr8 to hear it once again on utube :) wow the sweet buzz back then everything seemed to b a lot better 4 some reason in the good old days up till the early hours lost in a word of ur own peace and love to all :)
@dawesy041972 I remember this charted in late 91/early 92 - yet it was then and still is epic, i think i recall it played at monroes and wigan pier.
Nowdays, the kids have swapped e's for coke, crack and automatic weapons - fuck 'em, let them kill each other off on a remote island somewhere - seen as jail is overcrowded
@dawesy041972 some of the youth today are still tryin to keep that strong!!! dance till the morn, love and peace, its hard when there is so much hate and confusion though, and police jump on a free party before it even happens, or when it does kids come and throw rocks. we need more numbers, unite with us!

I was 14 when this came out....i now have a 12 year old daughter! where the f**k did the years go? tell you what though, my kids respect my music and know all this old classic "shit" it will live on!!!!!!! xxxxxxxx
i know ya cant really compare one tune to another, but lets face it, even with 15 years worth of better technology danny byrd still couldnt come close to this masterpeice. big up liquid, quality producer!
MEMORYS CUM FLOODING BACK HEARING THIS XXXXXXXXXXXX SWEET HERMONY AND A SWEET HARMONY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT XXX JOHNNY WALKER XXXXXXXXXXXXXX OVER & OUT
I love the ending..." In a sweet,..in a sweet ,...In a sweet ..Harmony!"...lush...makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up... And their aint many tracks that can do that! Neil'11.
Then this became Alright - Red Carpet (Domain Pettigrew remix) well the main tune anyways. I love how music has evolved throughout the decades, yet always returns back to it's original roots.
Is there a place where you can listen to this sort of thing?
There's an obvious demand for it, I'm surprised dedicated nights are so few and far between!
Even new musicians are sampling 90's esque keyboard riffs in their songs. Toddla T's latest offering, for example, is rich in classic female vocals and a good piano hook.
