  • Sony NEX VG20 or Canon EOS 7D? Which one will I buy?

  • Loved the video, i actually learnt alot from this. Thankyou!

  • 04:17 Aston Kutcher in the background???? :P

  • Why are you using a filter?

  • @surferboy36O He was using a ND filter, or nutrial density filter... the purpose is to be able to use a very fast lens (wide aperture) without over exposing, it is basically just a very dark filter.

  • @entouchgraphics Sorry Neutral.

  • @entouchgraphics Yea, but it's indoors, do you really need an ND?? Plus, your most likely gonna get reflections from the windows at the back.

  • I have been on allot of sets with allot of different DP's and enjoyed this presentation... good job! Never worked with any producion using a DSLR, so this was interesting for me.

  • are we able to see this yet?? even like a trailer or preview?

  • what lens do you use to record that? F/1.8?

  • excellent footage.. Great work guys, thanks for sharing the process. -C

  • The coolest episode of an exceptional series, Tony. Thank you.

  • a few questions:

    1) What is that you are attaching at 5:00?

    2) What are you doing at 13:14? changing filters?

    3) How do you pull focus at 14:05?

    4) Do you find the 7D useful, despite of it being APS-C?

Thank you very much, and congrats!

  • Very interesting, but at least show some o the finished product! I feel as though i was cut off in the middle of a movie.

  • Thanks so much for this! Its so interesting

  • I agree some slight movements add elegance to the shot, but i personal don't have a crane like that or a steadycam, so till i'm able to use my schools steadycams and cranes next year, i'll just shoot from handheld/viewfinder and OS lenses, or my tripod.

Else it's to much movement to be subtle.

  • One question i'm new VDSLR work . . got a 550d with a few bits . . . but want to get a matte box . . . but i don't understand how you can focus with it on as on my lense the front ring moves forward when focusing . . is just because it a zoom lens or do you just have a material neck with a gap between the lens and matte box

    pro stuff =)

  • @djball232 Also what lens are you using what mm ? =)

  • Hey!I HEAR COLDPLAY IN THE BACKGROUND!

  • i am from Brazil in south america and i love your channel from down here these dv podcast episodes are just great ...

  • Tony, where do you buyed the tripod for the crane?

  • isn't the stand that the 7d was on a stand for a red camera ?

  • What is the difference between 5d and 7d? How can you tell which one your camera is?

  • Great job nextwave... This is excellent stuff for novices to get a feel for a real production experience. Keep em coming!

  • Go Appleton, Wisconsin!! WOO!!

  • I'd love to see a whole series on "behind the scenes" videos on everyday shoots

  • I love this... thank you so much for uploading!

  • love your videos.

    that one was very interesting!

  • must be hard with the daylight changing through out the day, great stuff

  • An excellent example of on and off axis mic audio for a cardiod microphone. Also very neat to see the setup of this level of shoot.

  • What is the monitor you attached to the canon called? how do you attach it what are the tools that you need

  • @Smoogle That was the Manhattan LCD HD5 with one of their articulating arms.

  • damn how the fruck do you get your money just solely based off of commercials to get this equipment?

  • he said it was a 5D and one can clearly see a 7D at 4:40, then at 9:51 he says a 25mm lens on a full sensor... guess a little mistake there, still a great video, thanks for sharing.

  • very nice bts episode, its cool to see what work goes into a shoot.

  • Great video! Thanks for the Upload!

  • where is the final product?

  • @TheDoyleExperiment It is still being edited. Due to copyright, we may not be able to show all of it, but I'll post a link on our Facebook page when it is viewable online.
