We're fortunate enough to 7 Publix's less than a mile away from our houses, and the ability to work to make money. It takes 1 quarter, to feed a child for a day. If you can't donate 25 cents to save someones life, then you really need to think about how blessed you are to have what you have.

In semi-arid South Africa 'white' farmers represent only 0.01% of the entire population yet produce all of the country's food on less than 6% of the country's surface area. This 40,000 strong group of hardy professionals managed to also feed most of southern Africa until just three years ago but are now being chased off by their government. that's why there's more and more famine in the rest of southern Africa.

Rich food is addicting like any drug ( and long term hazardous to your health). You get more dopamine hits when you eat high calorie food which becomes addictive. Read "The Pleasure Trap," by Doug Lisle.
By the way, it has been proven you live longer and healthier if you are normal or even UNDERweight

Best thing you can do for world hunger and ourselves to is stop eating animal products. Our high consumption of meat and dairy is making us fat and long term giving us diseases like cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, high blood pressure.
Animal agriculture robs the world of resources (16 pounds of grain to raise 1 pound of meat) and is the biggest source of pollution (according to the UN).

Animal agriculture is a major cause of global warming and water depletion. Great quantities of fresh water are used in the process of raising animals for food and their waste products contaminate many fresh water sources including rivers, lakes and aquifers.
