  • What I find unusual is that the movie is about a Spanish-speaking fascist leader getting overthrown, and they were allowed to film it in Spain (then under Franco)!

  • Has anyone uploaded the scene that comes after this?

  • a legend on his own time.....Sergio Leone......a very nice film...with a very very nice...scoring......kudos to Ennio......to both of them and the stars....

  • Great film that never gets the airtime it derserves. Well done on putting this together.

  • Its never too late for a Revolution .

  • @bassetter1 As the great Don Rickles said while hosting the Tonight show: "Muchachose we will ride" LOL!!!

  • Funnily enough I had a picnic next to the remains of this bridge a week ago during a geology project on the riverbed there, never imagined it was from this film.

  • Exellant film, with outstanding music and visuals, have watched and will continue to watch time and time agian.Never tire of such a GOOD FILM.

  • Wow, the bridge was never rebuilt, talk about leaving a mark! XD

  • Fantático, Sr. HerveAttia!

Ficou ótima a montagem e reconstituição do local utilizando as cenas do filme de forma simultânea!

    Parabéns pelo Trabalho!

  • another nice job Herve!

  • that explosion is beast...you don't see realistic explosions like that anymore lol, too dangerous for actors and what not. i'm surprised another chunk of rock didn't hit stieger in this one lol

  • continued... Sergio went over the story with Morricone very carefully and he would produce the music around the story, mood and feel. Brilliant. A director filming to the musical score. They are both my heroes.

  • Very Excellent Herve. Well done! One of my favorite movies. It made a huge impression on me as a pre teen. I think I saw it in 72 or 73. The scene in the cave where Juan discovers his family slain... wow. And Morricone did an incredible job for that scene. Ennio + Sergio = magic. Did you know, they were one of a rare collaboration where often the score was done before the film was made.

  • Actually a bloody fine movie incorporating the Northern Ireland troubles at the time which was quite a nice aside.

  • Rod Steiger: five stars! *****

  • Wow! Wonderful place!

  • The best movie ever ..i wrote songs about this movie.. i love it so much ..its tragic beauty..

  • @WyattLanz afaik they built it for the movie to blow it up

  • gostaria de assistir todo o filme...se puder coloue-o no youtube.

  • Top bloody work on all your videos. They're no doubt painstaking labours of love, but are simply joys to watch for any lover of film. Just watching this video is enough to make me as giddy as a schoolboy, so god knows what the actual pilgrimage would be like.

  • look how much more vegetation there is now in the wash.

  • Expertly done... Such a reminder that great old films are becoming just as you had found, lying in old ruin awaiting an appreciative eye. Bravo....

  • Superb job HerveAttia. You have made a mini masterpiece here, and I really like how you managed to slip your own footage (I presume?) of the location into the original footage.

  • Yep...very well done.

  • Very well done, thank you. It's very neat to see this!

  • the movie ever the best

  • "God, only an idiot could sleep at a time like this!!!!"

  • If only he didn't say "duck you sucker". Would have been one of the best movies.

  • in italian he says something like 'put the head down'! giù la testa

  • Thx man, awesome job for an awesome film!

  • Worth the effort of watching. A under-rated film which deserves more kudos.

  • very thans!!!

    감사합니다!!!

  • Magnífico trabajo, Hervé!! como siempre

  • love the video and the music. best ever western made. i can watch it over and over again

  • the best ever. was it filmed in spain?

  • My favourite film ever. Call me sad but it just about sums up everything - the good the bad the stupidity and the ridiculousness of all the conflicts in the world. Yes it's only a badly acted western with a dodgy irish accent to boot but can make me cry every time.

  • your not sad you just know what a true movie is all about

  • still the best!

  • great job keep up the good work and keep filming:-)

  • Exclente filme, um clássico de faroeste! Simplesmente eterno no Brasil!

  • How come is the bridge still looking like that? I thought they blew it up in the movie... or was it a replica?

  • best sw-location video ever!!!

  • Great job! Hats off to you!

  • Incredible job as always!

  • Great interesting video, and A Fistful of Dynamite is superb

  • This movie makes me sad because of the music and the memories that John has of life in Ireland with the Beautiful Young Lass he left behind to save himself from British Vengeance.

It was interesting to see the Bridge as it is now.

    GREAT Movie nonetheless.

  • Leone ist wunderbar. Almeria ist schön.

    Eine glorreiche halunke.

  • kewl video

  • Genial, Buen trabajo (amazing video!)

  • Does anyone know the exact location of the bridge in Almeria? Thanks

  • Tabernas (Almeria, Spain)

  • Thank you

  • keep it up.great work

  • Excelente trabajo, tanto por las fotos de mis amigos como por el montaje final del vídeo.

  • Pure magic: a journey through time from 1972 to this February 2009

There are still breathing gunpowder ja ja

  • Simply amazing! I take my hat off.
