I don't think you'll ever see a 400+ CID engine in a new mustang or any other pony car.Back in the old days, engineers just had to convince themselves that the engine and transmission from a dump truck would fit in a car and take headers and a more aggressive cam. Now there are emission regulations, fuel economy expectations, and ride quality stats that drive the market.

While good-looking, why would spend all that extra money for a car that you could build up yourself for WAY less? "Built, not bought" is a famous slogan among the enthusiast community. I'd rather take a base model, add my own aero kit, suspension tuning, and turbos and get WAY more out of it for nowhere near the price. Its like Shelbys. You pay for the namesake.

The good news: Ford brought the Boss back with more than just sticker option. They actually beefed up the motor and put it on a diet for the tracks. The BAD NEWS: Graphic looks like doodoo. the painted roof? barf.. C'mon Ford. You can do better than this.... Boss may hang with the Shelby or beat it on the tracks but it's ugly as shit. I'd take the shelby all day over this fugly looking thing. Think they were going for that Porsche GT3 look but failed big time.

Id like to see the 70 Boss stripes on it instead, im not a fan of the black roof but eh i guess it makes it more unique, they should throw some black American Racing Torq Thrusts on there so you feel like you're really getting a tuned version of the Mustang rather than a factory namesake. One thing i was surprised to see is none of these so far have had the shaker hood although they do have shakers for the 5.0, hopefully it'll be an option, id be disappointed if i had to add one myself ;-)

Agreed. I don't know who did the exteriro design but as an Original 69 Boss 302 owner, the new one is but ugly. Get rid of the hood and roof stripe color matching and put some decent wheels on it. The parnelli Boss 302R looks great in comparison

The only thing wrong with this car is the exterior looks. The striping, let's be honest, looks like crap. Just normal racing stripes or none at all would have been cool. I think a 302 in Highland Green with black rims would be awesome; just like the Bulitt.

Normal racing stripes look retarded on these cars, and plus they're not original. I don't know how you could think it looks like crap.
