  • Just so you know..in third world countries, using gloves or performing aseptic technique may not be strictly followed, Not because the medical professionals or the person (may be anyone not in medical profession) doing it does not care at all or does not know the proper way but because resources are very limited, sadly. However, their skills are commendable.. Besides, in times of emergency, you rather get an IV line on first, if infection occur inevitably, manage it secondarily.

  • @Ammogoddessusmc - Love how you deleted the comments about the group sex you had fulfilling your husbands fantasy by doing him and another guy. How did that play with your employer, Dept. of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review? Must not have went over too well since you deleted it. I'll bet the Attorneys at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights project got a kick out of the copy of the post they received via fax, the one where you also stated you were working as a stripper.

  • I hate how critical people are. They're training. They need to learn somehow. Perfection doesn't happen on your first try.

  • what was it he did wrong?

  • poor volunteer!

  • scary

  • wew

  • wew...

  • I would have blasted that in there with zero problems.

  • damn, this is what I really need to master...

  • Seriously??!!! where did you guys go to nursing school?! WOW

  • @alina2126 This was for an Army Combat Lifesaver Course. It is a first aid course for non-medical personnel. The person sticking me was not a nurse, nor was he even in a medical profession. This was also his first time doing a live stick.

  • @Pacchin55 The guy giving the IV should be punched fucking FAIL i have NO training at all and i can give an IV PERFECTLY.

  • @alina2126 You are legally not permitted to do IV sticks on live patients in nursing school. Your practice is limited to mannequins for the sake of potential liability with live patients. You are expected to learn this skill on the job, once you have your nursing license. I am a new nursing grad and this is how I know.

  • @Tankweti Actually, yes you are allowed to do IV sticks on live patients in nursing school. We do them at our school only after you have practiced a TON on a simulator and after you preform it flawlessly for the professor first. Then you get to stick anyone within a mile radius that needs one in the hospital (okay, that was an exaggeration). Maybe the rules differ from state to state. But since I'm also a Marine, if I'm dying on the battlefield PLEASE stick me any way you can. Screw gloves!

  • ouch

  • lol "good pin cusion". I love it.

  • Do you have any advice on the fear of needles?

  • Look away, take slow deep breaths, and think happy thoughts.

  • LOOK AWAY!

  • There a darn good reason why we train! :)

Easy when you can do it though hehe :P

  • Poor guy lol!

  • Where are your gloves? Nasty.

  • big veins roll

  • no they don't well not the majority of the time....

  • hahahaha That just happened to me the first time!

  • How could you screw that up, the vein was huge

  • Not as easy as it looks huh.Onceyou get the feel of it and get your technique down,it becomes much easier, but it truly is one of those skills that takes lots of practice.

  • Ur Done SON!

  • lol @ good pin cushion :)

  • what a jerk!
