What's great about these guys shooting dangerously over road while cars are passing through. That's why there are so many anti hunters around because of these behavior, dangerous and no respect for the game they are taking. These critters might be pest to others but they deserve better than being treated like soda can targets.
@StunnedMutha The .17 HMR is a nice varmint round. Its a huge upgrade in performance over the .22LR but nowhere near as effective as .22 centerfire round (.223, 22BR or 22-250). The .17 HMR is very effective out to 150-200 yards and anything beyond that is time to pick up a .22 centerfire. Happy shooting.
@IMFletch007 That's what I was trying to say to this one dude. He got mad and blocked me lol. I wasn't trying to be rude or dis his round, maybe I came off a little too strong. .17 hmr, .22LR, & .223 all seem like fun to me!
@hyzercreek At least I don't subject these animals to hours of humiliation by kicking a ball against a wall and getting off while my dog repeatedly chases it. If you don't have enough sack to handle a pest control vid then go back to playing with your Barbie collection and DON'T WATCH my vids.
hey guys im looking to buy a new ar 223. write now im deciding on weather to buy a Remington R15 223. or a Bushmaster Varmint 22. im not sure on witch rifle to purchase. please help. if theres another 223. ar style rifle that you recomend, please tell. but it will need to have a cammo paint job. thanks.
well it all depends, .22's are good for birds, squirrels, and such, but a .223 can be used for squirells, rabbits, raccons, foxes, a .22 could be used on those animals, but i would recomend a .223
Hey, i was thinking about going out to a farm or w/e to shoot these fuckers just for game (plus it helps decrease growing rodent populations killing land etc)
Any places to recommend or any places in the US that have a farm just for shooting rodents?
You don't need that much power to shoot varmints. .243 Win has too much recoil and the crosshairs move too far off your target when the gun is fired. I heavy .223 is okay, .204 Ruger is even better.
I don't use a 300, its a friends rifle. He used it a bit after his .223 barrel went out. You can't see any of your hits when shooting the 300, way too much recoil. If I put a rifle cam mount on a 300, it would shake to violently to capture any watchable footage. However, its fun to spot and watch the carnage when the 300 when the 300 is online.
Before people getting all angry, THEY ARE SHOOTING VARMINTS. It's like you killing a cockroach. Would you think you should burn in hell because you kill some cockroaches?
Varmints carry diseases, eat off the food farmers grown there, etc. If you think that's terrible, then think about all the flies, bugs, and cockroaches you killed to protest your little kids and protect your refrigerator.

man, im from washington state and made the mistake of firing to close to a farmer livestock and i tell you what, the damn thing i was shooting at wasnt the thing most in danger out there on that feild..i hope this is your guys private land or you at least have permision to fire right at a farmers livelyhood..very very poor shooting ethics, good video but you should be more aware of whats behind your target and not let the thrill if hitting the critter make you kill someone.

It's great footage, mostly fun to watch, but when you use vehicles, cows and houses as back-stops, that's where carelessness and responsibility part ways.

man nice shooting where do you live cuz you got varmints i like 3 things in this video (1) coining of the phrase greasin (2) sayin "goodbye" (3) and the caddy shack cut with the gopher in the crosshairs lol nice vid 5/5
Sure looks like fun. I hope you would consider less 'rifle cam' and more 'video cam' for your next trip. A jerky picture is a jerky picture, even in slo-mo.
Since this vid was shot last year, I have installed a JP muzzle brake, re-engineered the death cam and modified the rifle so there is little to no camera shake.
Me and my boys do the same shit all the way down to the laughter. I don't know why it just makes you fucking laugh your ass off when you shoot those little fuckers. When are you going to put a sick cow out of its misery with the .50 ? I know theres gotta be atleast one out there past its prime.
Glad you enjoyed the vid. Those cows are the rancher's and we would never shoot one, unless the rancher wanted us to harvest one. That does not stop us from thinking about it.....We have often wondered what the 50BMG would do to a cow. There is no question the BMG would kill it instantly. I imagine the BMG would nearly split the cow in two and blow it apart like a .223 does to a squirrel.
.22 short has neither the range nor the required accuracy for varmint shooting. Beside .22 LR and .22 short does not explode the varmint and kill them instantly. You do not get any wounded varmints with high powered rifle and quality varmint rounds.
The guys enjoy the gun much more than the death of the VERMIN. Those things are a problem for homes, ranches, etc. The fun is the use of your firearm. Noone cares about the vermin. You have to understand what Vermin means.
I agree that target sports are a lot of fun, but why do some get a much bigger kick out of it when something dies? I have a problem with this, it leaves a sick feeling in my stomach when I hear someone laugh at something suffering or dying. =/
Stay tuned to this channel, varmint season begins shortly. On second thought, with all the Whiners out there telling us how morally misguided we are, perhaps we do some soul searching in hopes of healing our misguided ways. Once enlightened we could give up the this blood thirsty pursuit and spend our days judging and criticizing others??
I think the thwack from on prairie dogs is the best part. Me my dad and uncles all get together for a fun weekend of shooting in eastern oregon for the little bastards. magpies, squirrels, yots, rock chucks, rabbits all make the same sound. I love it. It keeps the ranchers happy, and families together. Keep up the good work.
If you knew anything about the use of a high powered telephoto lens, you would know they greatly flatten perspective. While the car may look like it is close to where we are shooting, the car you refer in the video is 700+ yards away on private driveway that we monitor. That vehicle is not in play from where we were shooting. We are shooting on a private ranch and the only traffic is us an few others who work the ranch. Obviously we would never be shooting anywhere near a public road.
I apologize for saying "idiot". Yet it doesn't matter what the "optical perspective" or the cartridge used. There was still a road behind the target...and a car/truck passed by.
One of the most basic safety rules in shooting is to be sure you are willing to destroy/kill your target...and ANYTHING beyond your target!
I thought you devout religious types were supposed to be kind, understanding and non judgmental of gods creatures. Thou shalt not judge what you don't understand.
He (or she) has never brought religion into the conversation, why include it now? WhatisChazaq has never stated that what your doing is moraly wrong (the shooting of sage rats). "And a couple of the most explosive shots were with a .300 Win Mag loaded with a 50gr Vmax sabot round@4700+ fps," you know as well as i do that this can travel well, well over 700+ yards (although it does de-accelerate rather quickly). One of the basic rules from hunters saftey class "Always have a safe backstop."
It makes me laugh when people say that varmint hunting is depopulating these things. They obviously dont know what the fuck they are talking about. Zillions of those fuckers running around.
VERY SICK VIDEO. me and my cousin just started doing some varmint hunting, using some ruger 10/22s and 17 HMR. So much fun just blowing those thigns up. and with no limit you can sit out in fields and woods all day long and kill tons of them. Keep up the control, i like to say =P
You guys did an awesome job on this video. I have showed it to all of my friends!!! Those tree hugging, anti gun environmental pussies can kiss my red neck ass! I cannot wait untill this spring to where I can go to the S. slopes of the rockies to do that again with my little 10 year old red neck son and all of my friends to do that again like we do every year!
Some of these shots with with a Remington 40x in 22 BR (wildcat) with 40 gr. Vmax rounds at around 4100 fps consisentent .1-.3 MOA accuracy. The 22-250 is a nice caliber but I will take the 22BR anyday over the 22-250. Also, the 22-250 has too much recoil for good video picture with a gun mounted video camera.
I love to shoot and this liiks great. I would suggest that you show a bit less delight with your hits as this is available to the whole public and I can hear the bleeding hearts crying now.
I was thinking the same thing at first but hey, if you're going to invest your time and money in performing this service (and it is a service!), might as well enjoy it!
We used .224 cal 50gr Vmax rounds and hand loaded them into a sabot for the .300 win mag. Not very accurate at long range but at 50 yards or so, they are absolutely devistating to the varmints.
What about the poor cows? If you are referring to the footage with the cows in the background, we were varmint hunting in that field by the request of the ranch owner. At any other location but the ranch we would not shoot varmints where livestock could potentially be in play.
nah I was only joking im sure you guys are safe as you can be while your out there. I varmit hunt with my dad as well as deer and all that jazz. But i only use a .17 HMR, havnt got the funds for all those other toys
What appears to be a full auto burst 3:42 is an anomaly in the video. It may have been do to the vibration or shake from the recoil. None of guns in this video are full auto.
This is one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen on YouTube! Were I with the academy of Motion Pictures , I would surely nominate this one for a few Oscars! p.s. I love to kill varmints myself! I shoot them and hunt them with my terriers and let them rip them up! I'll have to learn how to posts vids of that for you!
I dont really care whether you kill other of your countrymen... but for gods sake think about what your shooting towards.... look at the first clip... there's a main road only a hundred yards DIRECTLY behind the target... it might be your girlfriend, wife, child or grandma thats driving along the highway when you fire...
If you knew anything about the use of a high powered telephoto lens, you would know they greatly flatten perspective. While the car may look like it is close to where we are shooting, the car you refer in the video is 700+ yards away on private driveway that we monitor. That vehicle is not in play from where we were shooting.
Im a pro-photographer! and been shooting rifles for 15+ years, I also instruct shooting. Not trying to be an ass but people must consider how devastating or dangerous weapons ARE. the ammo is inaccurate at long range, however, rounds ARE lethal at well over 3000 yards - The saving grace is that ballistic tips vaporise on contact with anything ;-) Do ME a favour - next time YOU take a shot think what COULD happen if you miss or flinch just as you fire. "Potentially" Bye Bye grandma!
wow, what the hell is wrong with you people. I mean im not against hunting or anything because i hunt varmint all the time. 2 or 3 are sufficient. dont over hunt the place. the youll bore your self to death because you wont have anything else to shoot at. be creative and make some moving targets if you wanna shoot that much.
These varmints are on an Alfalfa ranch and if left unchecked they will decimate the farmers crop. There are hundereds of thousands of these varmints on the ranch. Everyone varmint that we shoot is one less that will eat the farmer's crop.
The shooting video could be spread out over a course of several weeks or a month or two. I agree with you thou, but some varmints are so imbedded in the land they'll need a squad of Marines to blast them out.
My mistake, looks like the bird of prey wasn't the target, but was standing way too close for comfort to the target. Risky shot and not worth the legal hassles it might generate.
I very PRO varmint killing & the vid was great however, the shot where the car passed from behind the brush at nearly the same instant & in line with the downrange bullet & with the houses in the background were irresponsible in my opinion.I'm not sure I saw any "birds of prey" being killed, unless magpies & sparrows are now considered as such.
You trigger-happy geniuses are unbelievable. Firing into a field full of livestock, shooting at birds of prey, shooting with residential structures and highways downrange are all crimes. And was that one bird perched on a power line? Thanks for giving the enemies of recreational shooting lot's of ammunition with your own video.
Great vid. Give me some perspective here...what was the range on the majority of those shots? Is you Bushmaster a varmenter series or does it have the shorter, 16" barrel?
Oh, and HARMONICA777, if you play your cards right we'll bag these critters up and ship them to your mud hut. I'd hate to see you go hungry tonight.
as a hunter i cannot believe you take so many shots with roads, cars, livestock and equipment behind the target. Have you shown this video the ranch owners? edit your vids so you don't show bad habits and dump the satanic laugh fest,
My exact sentiments! The bleeding hearts who have never shot know only what they have read about nut cases on college campuses and in malls. I is important that we not share our enjoyment with them with poorly edited shooting scenarios and what they would deem "sick laughter".
great video some of those flips and pops where awsome the height you got was great my only thing is that isnt it a bit of a waste to use sabot rounds on ground squirrels
The few sabot rounds we shot in this vid were to see what a 50 gr, Vmax traveling about 4700 fps would do when it hit a varmint. Sabots are not accurate but when they connect, the results are explosive and devistating.
Ryan:There are hundreds of thousands of crop eating varmints on this Ranch that can decimate the farmers crop. If left unabated these varmints not only will consume a significant portion of the farmers crop, their mounding will damage irrigation equipment, farming vehicles and threaten the safety of grazing livestock. Due to groundwater concerns, the many predatory birds in the area and cost, poisoning is not an option. The only effective way to dispose of these pests is to shoot them.
wow that looks like fun but i hav a question though since u guys killed all those creatures isnt there like a stench of rotten meat or something when u walk by the dead animals?
Is the camera mounted on the gun? Too jumpy to see what's going on!

TheNecrophagistGuy 2 years ago
1. b/c the 300 Win mag shoots a 110 gr Vmax 3600+fps, which turns these varmints into a glorious starburst pattern.
2. One of our AR barrels went out one day 1 so we we to a back up rifle.

Me and my boys do the same shit all the way down to the laughter. I don't know why it just makes you fucking laugh your ass off when you shoot those little fuckers. When are you going to put a sick cow out of its misery with the .50 ? I know theres gotta be atleast one out there past its prime.
Good vid boys..........
mrkillyoass 3 years ago
Glad you enjoyed the vid. Those cows are the rancher's and we would never shoot one, unless the rancher wanted us to harvest one. That does not stop us from thinking about it.....We have often wondered what the 50BMG would do to a cow. There is no question the BMG would kill it instantly. I imagine the BMG would nearly split the cow in two and blow it apart like a .223 does to a squirrel.
IMFletch007 3 years ago
use a .22 short its much funner and dosent leave the mess works rabbits and other varmmits lol
muskrattrapper123 4 years ago
.22 short has neither the range nor the required accuracy for varmint shooting. Beside .22 LR and .22 short does not explode the varmint and kill them instantly. You do not get any wounded varmints with high powered rifle and quality varmint rounds.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
Sooo much more fun than setting and "cleaning"
rat traps and mouse traps here in the burbs.
You guys are blessed!
rredhawk 4 years ago
The guys enjoy the gun much more than the death of the VERMIN. Those things are a problem for homes, ranches, etc. The fun is the use of your firearm. Noone cares about the vermin. You have to understand what Vermin means.
HHocker 4 years ago
I agree that target sports are a lot of fun, but why do some get a much bigger kick out of it when something dies? I have a problem with this, it leaves a sick feeling in my stomach when I hear someone laugh at something suffering or dying. =/

LOL!!!! Awesome video!!! We'll have to make some more videos this spring!!

IMFletch007 4 years ago
I'm sooo going to kill the shit out of everything that moves(except for the eagles, hawks & bobcats) on the next trip.
DRTYFN 4 years ago
Oh yes we are.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
I think the thwack from on prairie dogs is the best part. Me my dad and uncles all get together for a fun weekend of shooting in eastern oregon for the little bastards. magpies, squirrels, yots, rock chucks, rabbits all make the same sound. I love it. It keeps the ranchers happy, and families together. Keep up the good work.
steelyslayer1 4 years ago
First sequence...stupid irresponsible morons are shooting in the direction of a ROAD...and a CAR passes by.
Idiots.
WhatIsChazaq 4 years ago
hopefully this isnt the case. eff varmints.
markdl000 4 years ago
If you knew anything about the use of a high powered telephoto lens, you would know they greatly flatten perspective. While the car may look like it is close to where we are shooting, the car you refer in the video is 700+ yards away on private driveway that we monitor. That vehicle is not in play from where we were shooting. We are shooting on a private ranch and the only traffic is us an few others who work the ranch. Obviously we would never be shooting anywhere near a public road.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
I apologize for saying "idiot". Yet it doesn't matter what the "optical perspective" or the cartridge used. There was still a road behind the target...and a car/truck passed by.
One of the most basic safety rules in shooting is to be sure you are willing to destroy/kill your target...and ANYTHING beyond your target!
WhatIsChazaq 4 years ago
I thought you devout religious types were supposed to be kind, understanding and non judgmental of gods creatures. Thou shalt not judge what you don't understand.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
He (or she) has never brought religion into the conversation, why include it now? WhatisChazaq has never stated that what your doing is moraly wrong (the shooting of sage rats). "And a couple of the most explosive shots were with a .300 Win Mag loaded with a 50gr Vmax sabot round@4700+ fps," you know as well as i do that this can travel well, well over 700+ yards (although it does de-accelerate rather quickly). One of the basic rules from hunters saftey class "Always have a safe backstop."
hobohobo11 4 years ago
Check on WhatisChazaq's name and view his user profile.
Also, you really have no idea what the conditions are or the distances involved or how isolated that place is - so STFU.
DRTYFN 4 years ago
Okay, Mom, thanks for the morality lesson. If you find this vid so reprehensible then why watch it? x2 to DRTYFN's comment.

It makes me laugh when people say that varmint hunting is depopulating these things. They obviously dont know what the fuck they are talking about. Zillions of those fuckers running around.
labartic 4 years ago
VERY SICK VIDEO. me and my cousin just started doing some varmint hunting, using some ruger 10/22s and 17 HMR. So much fun just blowing those thigns up. and with no limit you can sit out in fields and woods all day long and kill tons of them. Keep up the control, i like to say =P
nice video keep um' coming

You guys did an awesome job on this video. I have showed it to all of my friends!!! Those tree hugging, anti gun environmental pussies can kiss my red neck ass! I cannot wait untill this spring to where I can go to the S. slopes of the rockies to do that again with my little 10 year old red neck son and all of my friends to do that again like we do every year!

Weak.... For a TRUELY vaporizing explosive result, use a 22-250 Remington or a 220 Swift instead of a 223 Remington.
22250rmntn 4 years ago
Some of these shots with with a Remington 40x in 22 BR (wildcat) with 40 gr. Vmax rounds at around 4100 fps consisentent .1-.3 MOA accuracy. The 22-250 is a nice caliber but I will take the 22BR anyday over the 22-250. Also, the 22-250 has too much recoil for good video picture with a gun mounted video camera.

also what gun is that at 3:43 ?
KevinWirt 4 years ago
Same rifle but due to an defect in the video it sounds like a rapid multiple shot full auto burst. None of the guns in this video shoot full auto.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
oh ok I wondered about that, thats a cool gun though and its really quiet. nice video :)
KevinWirt 4 years ago
at 00:11 what kind of gun is that?
KevinWirt 4 years ago
Bushmaster Varminter AR-15 24" barrel in .223
IMFletch007 4 years ago
That's easy to kill an animal with a rifle.
Even if you make that in order to regular the number of varmint, Your video show a lake of respect to the animal life.

shad0h027 4 years ago
where do you get you 50gr loads for the .300
skoaldaddy 4 years ago
We used .224 cal 50gr Vmax rounds and hand loaded them into a sabot for the .300 win mag. Not very accurate at long range but at 50 yards or so, they are absolutely devistating to the varmints.
IMFletch007 4 years ago

cool vid and all but there is the car thing, and you've presented an argument for that, but what about your poor cows =(
but cool vid
aftermath626 4 years ago
What about the poor cows? If you are referring to the footage with the cows in the background, we were varmint hunting in that field by the request of the ranch owner. At any other location but the ranch we would not shoot varmints where livestock could potentially be in play.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
nah I was only joking im sure you guys are safe as you can be while your out there. I varmit hunt with my dad as well as deer and all that jazz. But i only use a .17 HMR, havnt got the funds for all those other toys
=(

that was awsome!!!! i gotta find me a farm thats overran with varmints have a field day.
by the way here is that place?? j/w
isles622 4 years ago
is it just my imagination or did I hear a 4 or 5 round full auto burst at 3:42. even when it's slowed down I hear the burst.
scottg1911 4 years ago
What appears to be a full auto burst 3:42 is an anomaly in the video. It may have been do to the vibration or shake from the recoil. None of guns in this video are full auto.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
This is one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen on YouTube! Were I with the academy of Motion Pictures , I would surely nominate this one for a few Oscars! p.s. I love to kill varmints myself! I shoot them and hunt them with my terriers and let them rip them up! I'll have to learn how to posts vids of that for you!
Surfcaster77 4 years ago
I dont really care whether you kill other of your countrymen... but for gods sake think about what your shooting towards.... look at the first clip... there's a main road only a hundred yards DIRECTLY behind the target... it might be your girlfriend, wife, child or grandma thats driving along the highway when you fire...
fantaisadog 4 years ago

Im a pro-photographer! and been shooting rifles for 15+ years, I also instruct shooting. Not trying to be an ass but people must consider how devastating or dangerous weapons ARE. the ammo is inaccurate at long range, however, rounds ARE lethal at well over 3000 yards - The saving grace is that ballistic tips vaporise on contact with anything ;-) Do ME a favour - next time YOU take a shot think what COULD happen if you miss or flinch just as you fire. "Potentially" Bye Bye grandma!
fantaisadog 4 years ago
I hunt and this was a bit too much for me...the video is just too long.
PETA still sucks!
readytodrink 4 years ago
wow, what the hell is wrong with you people. I mean im not against hunting or anything because i hunt varmint all the time. 2 or 3 are sufficient. dont over hunt the place. the youll bore your self to death because you wont have anything else to shoot at. be creative and make some moving targets if you wanna shoot that much.
Ajps2master 4 years ago
These varmints are on an Alfalfa ranch and if left unchecked they will decimate the farmers crop. There are hundereds of thousands of these varmints on the ranch. Everyone varmint that we shoot is one less that will eat the farmer's crop.
IMFletch007 4 years ago
The shooting video could be spread out over a course of several weeks or a month or two. I agree with you thou, but some varmints are so imbedded in the land they'll need a squad of Marines to blast them out.
Semper Fi
mblackestheartm 4 years ago
My mistake, looks like the bird of prey wasn't the target, but was standing way too close for comfort to the target. Risky shot and not worth the legal hassles it might generate.
bddc201 4 years ago
I very PRO varmint killing & the vid was great however, the shot where the car passed from behind the brush at nearly the same instant & in line with the downrange bullet & with the houses in the background were irresponsible in my opinion.I'm not sure I saw any "birds of prey" being killed, unless magpies & sparrows are now considered as such.
Brenjen1967 4 years ago
Did the bird have to catch a bullet? Serious!
BigKab1 4 years ago
You trigger-happy geniuses are unbelievable. Firing into a field full of livestock, shooting at birds of prey, shooting with residential structures and highways downrange are all crimes. And was that one bird perched on a power line? Thanks for giving the enemies of recreational shooting lot's of ammunition with your own video.
bddc201 4 years ago
awesome, loved it!
timmay556 4 years ago
Great vid. Give me some perspective here...what was the range on the majority of those shots? Is you Bushmaster a varmenter series or does it have the shorter, 16" barrel?
Oh, and HARMONICA777, if you play your cards right we'll bag these critters up and ship them to your mud hut. I'd hate to see you go hungry tonight.
soupsdone 4 years ago
that was shit.
LongReach 4 years ago
as a hunter i cannot believe you take so many shots with roads, cars, livestock and equipment behind the target. Have you shown this video the ranch owners? edit your vids so you don't show bad habits and dump the satanic laugh fest,
art92101 4 years ago
My exact sentiments! The bleeding hearts who have never shot know only what they have read about nut cases on college campuses and in malls. I is important that we not share our enjoyment with them with poorly edited shooting scenarios and what they would deem "sick laughter".

great video some of those flips and pops where awsome the height you got was great my only thing is that isnt it a bit of a waste to use sabot rounds on ground squirrels
ziasyn 4 years ago
The few sabot rounds we shot in this vid were to see what a 50 gr, Vmax traveling about 4700 fps would do when it hit a varmint. Sabots are not accurate but when they connect, the results are explosive and devistating.

ryan1harley 4 years ago
Lol @ you. Do you not have a life? "Woohooo im killing a defenseless animal and im going to laugh my ass off about it" Seriousally.
ryan1harley 4 years ago
Ryan:There are hundreds of thousands of crop eating varmints on this Ranch that can decimate the farmers crop. If left unabated these varmints not only will consume a significant portion of the farmers crop, their mounding will damage irrigation equipment, farming vehicles and threaten the safety of grazing livestock. Due to groundwater concerns, the many predatory birds in the area and cost, poisoning is not an option. The only effective way to dispose of these pests is to shoot them.
