  • As an absolute hockey NUT I love the video. Chiara

  • thumbs up if you just throw them in your bag...

  • where is that shop?! i live in wilmington and cant find a good shop

  • I've had 2 pairs of XXXXs now. I'm not sure what it is but I love them. That may be because both times I happened to get my hands on some extra stiff custom ones though. haha.

Is UNCW NCAA or club? I'm trying to stay in state but I want to play hockey. I also want to keep up with my skiing though so I'm leaning toward app.

  • Thanks man

  • Thanks reminded me that I have left my kit bag in my car!!!

  • duhhhh

  • haha tim your my boy to bad we beat you this year

  • i play travel and i got x:20's i have skate guards but never using them cause as my comment before it rust if u keep them on to long, i just wipe them down and put them in my room and let them be til i play again.

  • you look like david perron stl blues

  • about the covers... i found out if u keep them on until u use them again.. the moisture will stay in their and it will rust your blade.. so if you have games.. what u want to do is...

    1. after ur done playing wipe them off and put the covers on.

    2. when you get home air out ur skates and take the covers off. Then next time when u use they won't be rusty.

  • i think that he means that if you have skates for a long time and u dont clean off the water on the blade and then it will start to rust

  • thank you man, nice advice

  • Were them skates vapor 6's? Couldn't quite make them out.?

  • vapor xxxx (40's) dude

  • After every ice session I always run the blades under warm water, dry them off and air them out. I always air out all of my equipment; I can't stand playing in cold, wet gear.

  • ikr its gross

  • For people with rust problems, keep in mind that quality of steel will matter as far as rust on your blades.

Obviously stainless steel blades will be more corrosion resistant, but you still need to take care of them.

  • And one thing u have to do is take ur Footbed of. Beacuz under the footbed is screws and they go to rust if u dont take the bend of.!!!!!

  • haha i have so much rust

  • Dry your skates after every use and wipe the blades down when dry using a rag with WD-40.

  • i used to do that but i just wipe em ova eith what eva i find now. but wd.40 does work alot better it keeps the balde shin too.

  • thanks

  • cool

  • i clean my skates every time i use them but i keep getting rust on the top of the blades underneath the frame do u gys kno how 2 get rid of rust.

  • i've had the same pair of skates for 6 years (just bought nikebauer one35) and i've had no problems with rust. what you could do is:

make sure you air them out after everytime you use them AND make sure there is no snow anywhere on the skate. also get a pair of soaker skate guards. this should help.

  • wd 40

  • just got some soakers today for my bauer skates, if only i came across this video BEFORE my skates rusted :P

good video, you got all the nessisary points dude!

  • this video was good
