  • Hey Jeep marketers: Guess you don't know that the music used in your commercials (starts at 0:26) sounds pretty much like a funeral dirge!

  • Johnny cash - god is gonna cut you down

  • Hey, I see I'm not the only one who wants to know this song, anyone out there know the name of this tune and who does it? Mycogen Seeds also uses this tune

    for thier commercial....

  • I like how they didn't put some green screen and fake crap behind but actual rocks and steep inclines.

  • when ever i see this car i somp my feet and clap

  • Fuck Yes

  • If you got a sub woofer you can really hear that V8 at the end.

  • The best weapon for destroying hybrid cars is the EMPD (Electro Magnetic Prius Destroyer) Guess what we put on the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

  • I really really REALLY want this car!

  • what's the name of the song?

  • @WilDcAtpRid3 Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down

  • @JamesBondSim9 Fa'shoo

    thanks Bro

  • @WilDcAtpRid3 I asked the same question, I guess it's a mystery tune.... LOL!

  • So government instituted speed-bumps are no longer an issue right?

  • Doggcatt - All that said below, I understand your concerns. In many areas I have offroaded mostly near metros have seen people who do not follow "Tread Lightly" and are in places that are definitely off-trail. It is unfortunate - and yes perhaps some of these ads promote that. But please do not comdemn the many regular offroaders who do respect the arctic tundra and other areas. I have rarely seen gross behavior in the San Juans of Colorado - its history and beauty are respected.

  • Doggcatt - you would have to show me where they are not on a Black Bear Pass trail; I see plenty of trail, tho this may be a wide patch. The trails are rough and do require 4x4 vehicles. This network, which also includes the neighboring Alpine Loop, was originally created for burro/mule wagons and as roadbed for the railroads that serviced the silver mining district in the late 19th century. The passes reach up to 13,000 feet and are maintained by the county for the region's offroad tourism.

  • i stand by my stupid, wacko, statements. the jeep is not on a road and it encourages people who do not know about the enviornment above the treeline to think it's ok to drive in these areas. i was not referring to all the commercials on the designated areas with roads--it was just a couple of commercials where you can actually see the small path that you must stay on when walking and certainly no driving! perhaps you need to study up on the enviornment above the timberline. it was just 2 ads.

  • @dogcat126

The people of San Juan and San Miguel County take great pride in these areas. If they are destroyed then they lose the income from tourist. However if you ever come to Ouray you will see the people are far beyond money and do take pride in these majestic mountains.

  • @dogcat126

Check out my video that was filmed in July 2008 on the Alpine Loop.

    CW McCall - Wilderness.

  • i'm sure that this auto is great-but where they are filming this commercial-whether it be privately owned or a national park-is terrible. they are past the timberline and you are not under any circumstance to drive or walk there. this land is so delicate and takes so many years to come back. in order for this commercial to be filmed they had to drive over the green part to get to where they are. study up on the tundra- read the signs in rocky mountain national park!!!

  • @dogcat126 Maybe you should do your research before making your stupid environmental wacko judgments. These roads are U S Forest roads that are open to the public. Major tourist attraction and a large source of revenue for the area. I guess Pikes peak and Mt. Evans are off limits to. Both run by Govt. entities.

  • @dogcat126

I live in Ouray CO and can tell you there are roads that travel above the timber line. The commercials were filmed in June of this year. This was more likely filmed off of Hwy 550 and on the road to Black Bear Pass.

The one for the scuff plates was filmed on the road to Imogene Pass near the Upper Camp Bird Mine. The film grips were very out of shape due to altitude and the guy who drove them had to haul most of their gear up the mountain.

  • Yep, the 550 side of Black Bear Pass. I spend a week up there running the trails for the past few years. Red Mountain is very visible. Likely early season since there is plenty of snow - probably mid-late June.

  • Definately part of the alpine loop.... I was on a weeklong trip there this august. Im thinking its engineer pass as cinnamon pass/hurricane pass/california pass are far smoother that this video. Cant be imogene that high up it is way more barren and not very green by the tomboy mine

  • This looks like the highway 550 side of Black Bear pass. Red Mountain in the background. Anyone confirm this?

  • Awesome!!!

  • i go riding up there every single year. one of the most beautiful/peaceful places in the US. i was actually there when the filmed this, this past summer! so many people for a 32 second commercial!

  • what song is that at the end of the commercial?

  • @Famous485 its "gods gonna cut you down" by johnny cash

  • @Famous485 Johnny Cash -God's Gonna Cut You Down

  • Jeeps are poorly made garbage. I have never sank so much money into so many repairs on anything in my life. Don't believe me? Watch mine catch fire and blow up due to a common electrical fire caused by shoddy craftsmanship. I have a street legal race car now and solemnly vow I will never own another hunk of crap like that again.

  • @1TrueNAZ What is this so called "common" electrical fire?

  • I'm pretty sure it isn't Imogene, looks like maybe probably the Alpine loop, cali or hurricane gulch area, just south east of ouray. Either way first new aGC i saw was on up north of Silverton, paper tags and all, owners got it right out there

  • Where was this filmed? It looks a lot like an area of Colorado I grew up in.

  • Looks like a X5 at the back..... Not saying that's a bad thing.

  • That is on Imogene Pass road which requires the use of four-wheel low to get up that section.

  • One will make the same trick on any SUV - Nissan Qashqai, RAV4 or Ford Maverick. "...Proudly presents a cart for housewives..."

  • I wouldnt trade or buy this POS jeep for my 96 XJ which is a TRUE cherokee!!!!! and its not about were the wheels are....... ive seen Wranglers endo before and there wheels are close together......

  • @a2r7n6 why do i want one its a POS i wanna see that POS follow me up one of my trails!!!!!

  • @justin1989001

And what exactly are you going up those trails with? a toyota fake jeep land cruiser lol

  • @justin1989001

oh never mind you drive a jeep

  • @atgskater14 HAHAHA yep i do drive a Jeep.... nothing fake about my videos....... lol

  • @justin1989001

Well i just did check out your video and come one man a tank could'nt even follow your jeep. I got to say your jeep (the one in the video) is the most badass car/suv I've ever seen. But that does not mean the new Jeeps are POS's they are still the best in their class for off road capability all though not as good as your Jesus Jeep

  • @atgskater14 well thank you..... its not even done yet...lol

  • This should be called "approach angle" not "wheelbase"...

  • The longer the wheelbase the worse the break-over angle... ;) Just givin Jeep some crap, I love them and I'm glad to see Jeep finally making some serious steps back towards setting themselves apart from every other junk "SUV" out there. Thumbs up!

  • Hancock pass co ?

  • wheredid they put the wheels on the jeep gran cherokee???

  • @MrPinhead11

    F'ing lol

  • @jburton1103 All of the Cherokees have their appeal to them. I love and appreciate all models. The new one is the classiest one by far. I would like to swap out my 03 for one of these beasts. Or just keep the 03 and have both!

  • Mhmmm, First time the Cherokee looked good in my eyes.
