He had almost the same problem as Kevin Willis. Kevin Willis was 7 feet tall and also couldn't block shots because of his small arms. It's no doubt that both of them were good rebounders.
I think that if he had longer arms he would've probably averaged at least 1 block a game. He was a good defensive stopper and he had one of the hardest bodies in NBA history. He was very effective at the center and power forward position. I wish Atlanta resigned him after the 2004-05 season. He could've played there for a couple more years. Its always good to see players finish their careers in the place where it started.
@najeenixonnixon I agree......I was hoping Iverson was going to hve a good season in philly last year.....Sucks what happened. Then at the beginning of this season i was hoping they would give him another chance, under the circumstances its understandable why he had to leave.
He did have a good season, up until the time he took his personal leave. He was the teams best playmaker and he showed that he could still score. His numbers were a lil down but it was obvious that he could still play. Im just as surprised as you that the Sixers didn't resign him. Thats the place where he should end his career. Not Turkey. I would've even loved seeing him playing in Charlotte with Larry Brown.
@najeenixonnixon I would of expected Brown to try and bring him to Charlotte , especially with the loss of Felton.Brown is Notorious for bringing in his old players even sometimes when they are well past their prime...I.E. derrick coleman from the Sixers when he coached Detroit....Sixers got a still very productive Corliss williamson. Coleman just retired after about 5 games.
@najeenixonnixon Yeah he should of....I feel so bad about Colemans career.Where he did have a few good seasons, he easily had the same potential as Kevin garnett, Rasheed , lamarcus aldridge, Kevin love.....He could of been one of the best stretch big man in the game.Injuries and attitude limited him to a fraction or what he could of been.

Im surprised that he wasn't a good shot-blocker, despite being very athletic and havin long arms.

@najeenixonnixon i think it was injuries early in his career maybe
