  • Django's demeanor seems territorial; like he's guarding "his" plant! and making sure the person with the camera isn't violating his special plant. (his own piece of the "wild"...hee hee) GOOD DOG.....

  • I don't think it's territorial, because she does it with any plant that has the right height leaves, or even some tablecloths. She does do it sometimes when she's stressed--like when she gets home from a trip, or when guests come over or leave, or after a storm. But other times it seems like she just wants to feel it -- like she comes upon the right plant on a walk. And she always shakes afterward.

  • Hmmmmm....very interesting....maybe there is something that triggers in her psyche from a past life (?) (maybe she was a tiger! or panther!) Anyway.......she's very cute and beautiful.

  • Is there a prize for figuring it out? I've got my best on the case. I know we can break the mystery

  • I am so glad you have documented this unusual behavior! Hopefully some dog psychologist will be able to explain...but if not, I guess we will continue to watch and wonder.

  • Django is a very strange and wonderful dog. I'm so glad that you documented this at long last.

  • That's strange. "Django the Amazing Slow-Motion Plant Circler!" You could get on Letterman with that or tour the county fair circuit. I like how the dog shakes it off at the end and resumes normal life.

I also like how you've set it up so that nothing but Led Zeppelin is in the the related video set - not entirely intuitive at first glance
