Just my opinion, but wouldn't it have been ouchigari sukashi if Inoue had thrown to his left? When he stepped to his left, his opponent tried to reverse the ouchigari into uchimata, but couldn't turn his hips because of Inoue's right hand grip. By continuing to attempt uchimata, the throw was almost complete. Inoue just had to continue the right hand turn and drop his weight. Ippon.
there's no relation between uchi mata sukashi and sumi otoshi. sumi otoshi is a technique in which you just change your stance FACING the uke, and push him back. when you pull uke, that is, in the direction uke is pushing, than it is an uki otoshi. I agree that uchi mata sukashi is a specific form of uki otoshi, though.
If you listen to the tournament floor announcer at 0:45. He says the throw was "Ukiotoshi." But who is to argue with the Japanese classification of a technique.
First of all, caps lock doesn't make you any more correct. Secondarily, "YOU FUCKING IGNORANT" is not an intelligent way to start a comment. Next, throw is spelled T-H-R-O-W. There is an "H," but hey, you fucking ignorant, so I don't expect spelling. The throw starts as an ouchi gari, but becomes an uchi mata as Inoue sidesteps, so I would call it Uchi Mata Sukashi, or even sumi otoshi. In fact, one could argue uchi mata sukashi is simply a very specific application of sumi otoshi
@MrMangoJudo hey smart ass u have to be a white bell in judo... YOU DONT SEE THE COUNTER FROM INOUE U FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT ...inoue's opponent attack with ouchigari and inoue just counter him with sukashi...you FUCKING MR ASSHOLE...did i miss any spelling this time mother fucker?
@elcocodrilo You miss spelled "Belt," there is a "t," but maybe you're just a white bell and haven't learned how to spell Judo terms yet. Anyway, point is, read my comment sir, I quite clearly saw the sukashi, as demonstrated in the phrase "So I would call it Uchi Mata Sukashi."
@julioaragao Thank's for clarifying that, I guess I had a misunderstanding of the difference between Uki and Sumi otoshis.
Thats an uchi mata sukashi not a Uki Otoshi!!! the JIF made an educational video for the purpose of clearing these types of confusions, I suggest you look for it.
Kosei has had a great career. He won many titles but people are disappointed that he didn't break the great ones' records of wins. But screw that. His uchimata is the best in years.
Uchi Mata Sukashi is the name of the dodging bit at the beginning of the technique (Sukashi meaning something like "void"), The actual throw is some sort of Kuki Nage.
@gonzalojudovm can't be uchimatasukashi when his opponent is trying to do ouchi gari and not uchi mata. also, look at the slow motion in the end, clearly shows inoue using his hands to do uki otoshi..
Unreal!
