Really enjoyed your work. What a talent! Why aren't you signed? Do you do "studio work"? I'd like to hear you do it just a tad slower....but, that's MY taste.
@gitzilla2000 Thank you. I'm not sure if it's downloadable. You'd have to get in touch with Future Publishing with that question. Check out the Guitar Techniques Facebook page and also their website, you may find out the answer to your question there. However, I know that the magazine is definately available in The States as I saw it in a store in Nashville.
Oh absolutely I slowed it down. I've recently come across a piece of software called transcribe. You can download it for a free 30 day trial. I highly recommend it. Thanks.
Did you slow the tune down at all when learning the tune? This is awesome, I'm trying to learn the tune now with Amazing slow downer and slowly learning the passages bar by bar. Great work man, Lenny was a true Genius.
steve, you are a really hot player there, hope you will do a lot more thumbpicking tunes here,u got it going for you there, loved this one for sure!!! rod
Absolutely marvelous! It just made me smile all the way through it! It must've taken you hours and hours, not only to figure it out by ear, but also to perfect it! Thanks! bb
Excellent work! You said it was Lenny Breau's arrangement? Not having heard that one though sounds like Knopfler Atkin's cut from Neck & Neck albeit at a slightly faster tempo. Simply fantastic!
Thanks. This arrangement is from Lenny's 'Boy Wonder' album. I read somewhere that he was only 15 years old when he recorded it. He really was a genius.
Excellent articulations, you got the elastic/springy tone and very smooth transitions at almost all times, i am very impressed with the sound youve gotten from that guitar/amp/delay in particular. Also, I havn't been able to find a transcription of the Lenny Breau version that is as similar in phrasing as yours is (i must also commend you on that, good job) Would you be able to somehow send it to me, it would be very much appreciated as it stirs quite some interest in me. Good Luck in the future
I'm sorry but I worked this tune out by ear and therefore don't have a transcription. All I can tell you is that the tune is on Lenny's 'Boy Wonder' album, hope this is of some help. Sorry once again. Steve
Simply AWESOME great work...if people only knew how long it takes to learn this style. I have almost all of Chets albums so I'm VERY aware of his sound.I'd like to hear you on a old Gretch for sure Great Job Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You. I'm in Australia at the moment, but as soon as I get home I'll upload some more videos. Thank you once again, it makes all the hours of practise even more rewarding when I get comments like yours.

they have been offered a recording studio and also have been put in a competition to play at the V Festival in the unsigned tent. speak to you soon , Jake
Nice one Steve. Great pickin' and nice to see the FTT doing it's job (can't afford one but I'm delighted with the Maxon AD-999 as that's definitely staying on my board!). Never play will illuminous cabbages though as no shades are cabbageproof. Stick some on the amp the next time you play in the Swan and I'll bring the spuds! ;) Mike
Nice one Steve. Save me one of those cabbages would you. Got to sustain ourselves during the grueling set of the JCB gig. Dont stop pickin' (country licks that is, not cabbages)!JD
Thanks for your kind words. I was using a Music Man Axis Sport with MM90 pickups, a Fender '65 reissue Twin Reverb and a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. I'll post some more videos shortly. Steve
Very very good version, congratulations.
