Some of the things he says he takes out of context. Remember that rap and hip-hop are two separate entities. Hip Hop uses rap, but rap does not have to be Hip Hop. Hip Hop cannot be used in the church. However, there is nothing wrong with rap, which is simply an art form. He speaks of taking it being impossible to take the music without the culture. Does he not know that some psalms are written with a Philistine style of music? How can he explain that?

Brothers dem dressing like a sheep to go to church but rapping like a wolf in the streets.Talk about mixing the profane with the holy!!! Future pastors are the target for satan. If Satan get them there will be no stopping the crossover in church. Why can't they see this? That is why the BBL says if we are not careful even the very *elect* will be lost. Pray for our pastors. I know ppl in music who admit these music don't belong in the church but do it b'cuz ever'y body doing it for ministry.Sad.

So basically (forgive me if you already know this) the "elect" are those that are saved by God so what the bible is saying here is if it wasn't for the fact that God had saved them eventually they would be deceived.

His family WAS divided before he became a Christian.But when he did ALL his close family members became christians!That is a more powerful testimony.Christ desire isnt to divide otherwise he would not have prayed for us to be ONE as him and the Father.If you became a Christian from listening to BM what about your parents?The fans turned away from Ivor even after he was doing Christian rap.That is the division Christ is talking about.Christ don't need to win us over with music His WORD is enough.

For real dat is the stuff! Look like LGofRPM is defending culture of christianity. So if Christianity is about division why even try to unite our churches in one message of repentance. The division means it is a good indication. It just shows that one is true and one isn't. The question then is which one.

Hip-hop divided his family, he says. The Boogiemonsters's music was used by God to help me become a Christian. My parents didn't understand the BMs or much else about me when I was 18. Pastor Myers should read the part of the Bible about how families will be divided because of Christ, and whoever loves his parents more than Christ is not worthy of Christ. Jesus said this. NO, I'm not saying Myers is guilty of this, I don't even know him or his fam. I'm just saying you can't put Christ in a box.

The division comes not from God but from us, when we make choices for him, others will hate us. Just like how mix religion divides the world/church/family. Mix music does the same.

It is clear that hiphop,rock and rap etc is not base on love but hatred.Adding"Christian" to this kind of music is like putting Christian before everything & calling it acceptable. We are putting Christ in box when we choose to think that we need to get to the people because the Holy Spirit isn't able to do it.
