It is just to impose morality on people when it affects others. That is what is called a law. We do this to have a decent society and to secure God's blessings. But it is unjust to to allow a law that permits violence of one person on another person. That is called malfeasance and hard-heartedness. If the life of the mother or extreme emotional distress this is exception. We have an immoral society and a culture of death.
@exzucuh Atheists seem more spiritual than Catholics. They have the ability to be more virtuous, selfless, creative, and spiritually healthy than a believer who requires an Earthly intercessor.
Granted, I know God doesn't exist. But I still want to join a faith of some kind in the future. If a group of people share a similar outlook on life as me, I'd be happy to join them. But based on your self-superior response, I can honestly say you permanently turned me off from Catholicism forever.

If the life of the mother is in real danger, everything should be done to save both the life of the child and the mother. If the child should die while saving the mother, the intent was good, that is, not to kill the kid, but to save the lives of the both of them.

Dear Greafgriet, The hierarchy of the Holy Catholic Church is God, Himself, He is working through these men. Maybe, God knew we would come to this point of not seeing the difference between the sexes, of motherhood and fatherhood, yes, He want us to see Him as our Father. Look and see how abortion has made men look at women as objects of sex, (not a person), for if they have no respect for their own children how are they going to respect women, especially after an abortion.

The Catholic Church has not always been perfect, but the vast majority of cultures both secular and religious have been much worse historically. You haven't paid attention to what the church says about men who push women towards abortions either. You also choose to ignore the fact that about half of aborted fetuses would be women.

I had a friend recently who was seconds away from getting an abortion. She was going to be kicked out of her house if she had the baby, had no where to go and could not find a job while pregnant so she really felt like there were no other choices available to her.
