Only half of Pakistan is culturally related to north india. The other half of Pakistanis, namely the Pashtuns and Balochis are iranian peoples. So not all of Pakistan can be said to be like india. Also, Iranians changed the name of their country from Persian to Iran in 1937 you're right but afghanistan did not exist before the late 1700s it was all part of Iran. Afghanistan as a country did not exist until Ahmad Shah Baba founded it in the late 1700s. That's a plain fact.
I am not sure if you understand this but Iran and India have had an influence on Afghanistan for a long long time. Therefore it should not be a surprise to you that we would incorporate some of their culture in to our own. Afghans do have their own identity and the whole world knows that. They are both persian songs sung by Pakistani Pashtoon artists Zeb & Haniya. "Paimona" is Omar Khayam's poetry composed in to a song by the Pakistanis. "Bibi Sanam" also sounds like poetry though the composition of both songs was done in Pakistan. Hope you enjoy it, since you will understand.

Afghan = persians. That's why at Afghan parties and events, everyone speaks persian, not Pashto. Afghanistan did not even exist before the 1700s. It is barely 200 years old. Tajikistan speaks Tajiki not dari. Dari is the persian of Afghanistan.

@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind Afghanistan was founded by a Pashtun king, all the leaders were Pashtun and Afghanistan=Pashtun, Tajik and the rest are also Afghan, but to say Afghanistan=tajik is not corect. It was not a tajiki that founded Afghanistan but a Pashtun, and Afghanistan have 2 official languages Pashtu and Dari and not just Dari. The only reason that Dari is popular becuase our neigbours speak it, Farsi/Dari was the language of commerce and trade. Please read some Afghan history.

Only half of Pakistan is culturally related to north india. The other half of Pakistanis, namely the Pashtuns and Balochis are iranian peoples. So not all of Pakistan can be said to be like india. Also, Iranians changed the name of their country from Persian to Iran in 1937 you're right but afghanistan did not exist before the late 1700s it was all part of Iran. Afghanistan as a country did not exist until Ahmad Shah Baba founded it in the late 1700s. That's a plain fact.

I am not sure if you understand this but Iran and India have had an influence on Afghanistan for a long long time. Therefore it should not be a surprise to you that we would incorporate some of their culture in to our own. Afghans do have their own identity and the whole world knows that. And if they don't all it takes is a bit of research to realize that. Don't get offended if others are inspired by other cultures. That is normal. The whole world does this in numerous ways.

Let me point you to some Pakistani music you might like. Please search for "Bibi Sanam" and "Paimona" both recorded for Coke Studio in Karachi. They are both persian songs sung by Pakistani Pashtoon artists Zeb & Haniya. "Paimona" is Omar Khayam's poetry composed in to a song by the Pakistanis. "Bibi Sanam" also sounds like poetry though the composition of both songs was done in Pakistan. Hope you enjoy it, since you will understand.

Although urdu may sound like hindi linguistically they are not exactly the same. Afghani guy you are right: India and Pakistan share some cultural bonds but they are not the same just like we share some culture bonds with Iran but we are not the same. Afghanistan has been through enough problems and now we are given a chance to fix our country we need to work on..

@royeam I could care less about the difference in Paki/Indian culture. My point was that I dont like it when songs that are Afghan or made for an Afghan audience, they promote Indian/paki traditions or clothing or culture. That is how it all started. If we need to fix our country, we first need to understand that as Afghans we have our own identity and culture that is distinct from that of pakistanis or Iranians.

There is no fine print that says its "made of afgis". So this is not your own identity. Its Tajikistani identity. Royeam actually makes sense and is secure enough to not try and assume ownership of other cultures. This is a Tajikistani song. You're no one to pass judgment on it nor try and dictate its terms. It doesn't matter what the girl is wearing (although it might be Indian) she looks great. And she sings great! That is all that matters. Just because she says "Kabul" in the song it does not make it an Afghan song. I am Afghan and I have never heard this song before. Plus her Persian Dialect is so hard to understand that it is difficult to understand anything else but Kabul...

First she is singing in Hazaragi (Afghanistans one of several dielcts). She is also performing on a Hazaragi theme choreography.
Second, She is wearing Afghan clothes. Indians and Pakistanis wear Lehanga mostly. Shalwar, Chori, Barchaqi, Gagri, etc are Afghan clothes now fashion in India and Pakistan.
