Some don't want to have to buy a $70K heavy, sloppy handling SUV to get the space they need. And this is one of the rare cars on which the wagon version looks pretty good I think.

I traded with my friend.. he was really crazy about my CTS and I wanted to try out the compact Audi (A4), so we swapped, and I'm more satisfied with the A4 (and Audi's in general, magnificent cars) than I was with my CTS.

Brought my A4 for servicing, and they loaned me this car for a day...absolutely loved it. Incredibly quick for its size, and I found no negatives. My next Audi for sure.

Most attractive wagon ever in my book and still carries a lot. And with the new supercharged engine it definitely beats BMW and Mercedes Benz in my book. Definitely the better pick over the sedan.

At the time this video was made, Mercedes still sold the E550 Wagon, which has the 382 hp V-8.

You can still buy the AMG wagon too.

The 2009 with the blown V-6 as you mentioned is a winner, though. We'll see how the 2010 Saab 9-5 SportCombi stacks up. It's supposed to get a twin-turbo V-6 with the excellent XWD system.

I LOVE the conservative and classy style of the A6s. The only problem I can think of Audi did to this car is something that MB does to:

They lied about the engine size! Look it up, its a 3.1 liter engine, not a 3.2. In case you didn't know, MB's line of 63 AMGs say 6.3 all over them, yet they are a 6.2.

I know for sure a lot of americans just go "Ha it only has a 3.2 V6 and it's a friggin stationwagon.. it must suck balls".

gorgeous car along with flawless styling. I am so shocked that Audi wagons, along with Benz and Bimmer wagons havent changed American's view of station wagons. Maybe cuz no one can afford them. All i know is there is a new era of gorgeous station wagons and hopefully those big bulky SUV's and minivans will be off the highways for good soon :)
