I agree with JaundiceJaun, DoomWorld,PlanetDoom and Realm667 arent as good as they could be and aren't that user friendly. I think making a new site is a great idea, realm 667 doesnt have a section for midi music files etc and any wads released by their community dont really get known because its just scattered in the forum and there are some good ones out there which is a shame. If wads are good enough they should be added to a library on the site itself.

Site seems like it would be a tough thing to pull off. In general people are used to going to certain sites for the doom needs, and I can see it being hard to attract other to your site. That however is my guess, I could be wrong. The server thing I would say could be in easier. Maybe just have a simple forum people can vote on for the next map they want to play. Again not sure how successful that would be cause that was initially the idea behind skulltags FnF and I believe that died off.

People today don't understand how satisfying and easy it is to make great looking atmospheres and fun maps in a game as old as doom and how it offers endless possibilities + creative outlets that are continually being improved. I'm currently working on a map for the super skulltag mod and I'd like some feedback on my map submission when it's done!
I would like to be able to set up a room and have my friends join in for the kill, like a private room, but not to play aginst each other, but to play together as a team. I don't know if this is possible or not. Thanks!
I think that even though the Doom-community is very alive for such an old game, the majority of the gamers are not aware of the userfriendly modding that Doom (2) offers which is sad. I support any website dedicated to keeping oldschool Doom and the technology alive.
Yeah it sounds like it would be similar to Realm667, just make it a little more user friendly. Realm667 is great but just a little confusing and/or slow at times. Also, if it were a member-based idea, that would help as well, so there aren't any comments from unknowns and things like that. I say do it! If you have the ability and will to do so, more power to you.

I would love to take part in something like that. Also @Invadertab2, I would say yes, it is similar, but I don't think there is much of a better way to do it. I honestly think that doing it that way is much better than having something incredibly complex or stupidly hard to do/program.
One last thing, @JaundiceJaun, will it be anything like Realm667 where creators can upload monsters, and weapons and other things of that nature?
